We booked our trip to Maui through the Maui Kai 806 owners, Art and Sophie and were so pleased that we did. They were so kind and helpful, as were everyone we encountered at the Maui Kai. There is no way to adequately describe the terrific location of this resort and we appreciated that it was not a huge resort that required miles of walking to get to and from our room. Our room on the 7th floor was a junior suite and not extremely large, but was so well laid out that my husband and I had plenty of room. The kitchen was very well equipped, which we were glad about since we cannot eat all of our meals out, due to dietary restrictions. The weather was so wonderful in December that we slept with the door open and was lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves. In the daytime, we sat on the lanail and watched the whales while enjoying an early morning coffee. If we are blessed to return to Maui - we will contact Art and pray we can stay at the Maui Kai again.

We stayed at the Maui Kai unit #106 at the end of August. The condo was extremely well equipped with the comfort of the guests in mind. The bed was so comfortable and the sound of the surf was incredible. We were so close to the water. The views from the lanai were perfect. We watched the sunset every night as we had dinner on the lanai. We have recommended this condo to our friends and family. We hope to go back some day. The owners were very helpful and kind. This is a great complex.

I booked my stay through Maui Kai 807, Donna Bender owner. This was my first trip to the islands and was very impressed by the value and location. The housekeeping staff was excellent. I liked the smaller venue and it has all the ammenities. What a great way to spend Christmas, watching the whales from our windows. I highly recommend the Maui Kai.

We stayed at Maui Kai 301 in January 2012. The condo was perfect for the two of us. The owner really took the time to think of all the comforts a guest would need, including a really nice set of binoculars that we used daily to watch the MANY whales right from our lanai! There is snorkel equipment, an ice chest, boogie board, beach towels, full kitchen with all the essentials, ice maker. There is no Wi-Fi in the room, however, the owner provides a long ethernet cable that you can connect to your computer for perfect internet access. The long cord made it easy to be able to still surf the web while sitting on the lanai! The view was so spectacular...We ended up having our large meal at lunchtime, and enjoying dinner on the lanai so as not to miss the incredible sunsets we had each evening. There is also a grocery store and an ABC store within walking distance of the condo. The pool area has a computer with a printer as well, allowing for ease of printing out boarding passes. Oh, and wait until you try out the shower...unbelievable! Our experience at Maui Kai 301 was amazing....We would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Maui!
