Maui Hill has large units with a huge lanai, a heated pool, helpful staff and well kept grounds with lots of beautiful flowers.
We loved the Maui Hill Resort, the only thing missing is an on-site restaurant, but the Five Palms Restaurant across the road is very good. Our favourite restaurant was Cafe O'Lei with Cuatros a close second. We drove into Paia and tried the Paia Fish Market cafe which had great food and a fun atmosphere. The Kamaole beach parks are closeby all within walking distance.
The unit was large inside with a huge lanai. The furnishings in the units we have stayed in are typical rattan 'tropical'. The kitchen had a full-sized fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave with a stackable washer/dryer. The bathrooms could use an update but are serviceable. The bedroom had a comfy bed with and a TV. The internet worked well. The AC unit worked well and provided a 'white noise' so we never noticed the bird songs until we went out on the lanai.
The heated pool was wonderful, we spent lots of evenings floating in the pool and then into the hot tub. I borrowed several books from inside the unit and from the bookshelf at the front desk.
We drove the Hana Highway, it was gorgeous. My Hubby golfed at the Wailea Blue, Gold and Green course and one up near Kahana he said the golfing was excellent. I dove many days and was very happy to just walk down the drive and across the road to meet the dive boat at the Kihei boat launch. Molokini had excellent visibility and loads of fish.
