“Awesome Time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Excellent condo, unit 101, on the main floor, 2 bdrm, 2 bath, laundry, full kitchen, excellent lanai and we had a really great time. Nice to come into a "home type" environment and be able to move around without disturbing anyone else. Loved having coffee early in the morning on the lanai while the family slept in their own rooms. Full conveinences in the condo and with the price of food in Maui, this is a cost saver being able to make our own meals and pack picnics for the beach, This is the way to travel and we will try never to do the hotel route again. Would we do it again-YES, here-YES.

Room Tip: ask for ground floor, you get more outdoor space.

“great but..................”

We stayed at Palms in January 2012 and had a nice stay. Would have like to be in a room faceing the pool but they were all taken. The rooms are large and the master bed was excellent, king size. The room needed to be spring cleaned, a lot of dust.... however the pool is beautiful and so are the grounds.

“Great place to stay in Wailea”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

Stayed here the first week of January with my family in a refurbished condo. Master suite was huge though second bedroom was tiny and woukd have benefitted from twin beds instead of a double. We ended up borrowing a rollaway which had definitely seen better days. That was the only real complaint though. The staff were fantastic...friendly, helpful and responsive. The pool area was very nice and my son loved playing in the pool. The condos are about a 5 min drive from wonderful snorkelling beaches, as well as all the amenities of Wailea and Kihei. Don't miss the chance to go to Big Beach in Makena..great whale-watching from the shore.

“it was OK”

The condo was large and clean. They did a good job of providing dishes, pans and utensils. On the negative side, the furnishings were a bit dated and air conditioning was only provided in the master bedroom. They wanted you to pay extra to turn it on for the rest of the unit. I think that is ridiulous. Also, you must have a car. It is up on a hillside and a 5-10 min walk to one of the beaches but you really need a car to get into the grocery stores, shops, restaurants that are in Kihei or Wailea. Next time we go to Maui, I think I would pick a place that is a little closer to all the amenities and closer to the beach.

“Awesome Maui experience at Palms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

My wife and I stayed on the ground floor at the Outrigger Palms in Wailea in November of 2011 and certainly recommend it to families or couples. The is a large patio with a small BBQ, good sized bedroom with full bathroom, big living room and full kitchen. There's a shared pool and hottub, a good size, nice spacious grounds to see the sunrise and sunset and very friendly staff. The only concerns include the master bed was a bit hard, not as comfortable as most, the couch in the living room was actually more comfortable for afternoon naps. Also there was only air conditioning in the bedroom, although if you leave the fan in the living room running on high and turn the air conditioning the bedroom down to around 64 F during the day, it will be perfect when you return from a day of activities. Really for the price, at this prime location close to beaches, the top resorts, golf courses and the best weather on the island it's tough to beat. There are lots of great beaches in the area to swim snorkle and boogie board at, if you want to exerience Maui without spending too much, the Palms is certainly a great location. Hopefully you'll have great weather, service and an enjoyable location like we did. If you want to spend a bit more there are other great resorts on Maui, but they will cost you. The Palms was our first experience in Maui and it was great!

Room Tip: Our ground floor was excellent to see the sunrise every morning, but you might want to think about a...
