“#201 IS THE BEST”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

This is our third time back to Kealia. We will stay nowhere else. # 201 is without a doubt more like home than some homes. Normajean, and Larry leave nothing to chance, from a beautiful welcome gift basket to a fridge with cold beverages, and all the comforts to make your stay feel Soooo comfortable. The interior of 201 is beautifully decorated, and the bed is the best. This oceanfront condo has the music of the waves to gently rock you to sleep, and wake you to a new day. The sunsets from the Lanai, or the front lawn is an evening event you will not want to miss. 18 nights was not long enough, but will have to do till next year.

“a relaxed location”

stayed at room #602 for a month(xmas 2011) was a surprisingly quiet and relaxing experience- --though it was mostly owners here. the room was clean with a complete accessory kitchen, a nice office nook,a very comfortable bed, tastefully decorated, and a great ocean view from the lanai. the staff was great(especially NJ), always trying to go the extra mile. the pool- though small and cold was sufficient. the grounds were manicured with a lot of quiet beach-front grassy area for sun bathing. they have communal pupu and donut parties if you wish to partake. also since we're right on the water and six floors up we enjoyed the constant ocean wave sound day and night- very relaxing. my only issues were the pidgeons and their waste on the window ledges. (we have asthma) also the wind was so strong our first three weeks that the door was constantly vibrating real loud. (it needs securing). all in all though a great stay- worthy of a repeat visit for sure!

“Kealia Resort- Condo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

Many units are REMODELED AND BEACHY ADORABLE. GREAT VIEW.This resort is so peaceful, beautiful, off the beaten path, right on the beach, well run. Clean and well priced! You will have money to go do things on Maui thanks to the price of this place. YOU CAN GET TO SOUTH MAUI OR WEST MAUI OR ANYWHERE FROM THERE. WHALES SWIM OUT FRONT. WATER IS CALM. AWESOME SUNSETS!

Room Tip: Ask for the remodeled units.

“Lots of "pros" and a few "cons"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2011

My family stayed at the Kealia Resort for our December 2011 vacation in Maui. Overall we had a great experience. Here are some of the "pros" and "cons" we found:

Pros:
- ocean views are spectacular! Sunsets, whales, waves, all to be enjoyed from your lanai.
- condo unit was lovely. Had everything we needed and then some. Washer and dryer in unit was a major plus!
- the people were great. Owners and vacationers alike we very friendly and welcoming. Met some very nice new friends down at the bbqs almost every time we went down!
- grounds were beautiful. Well kept, clean, and lush. Gorgeous!
- the owners of our unit (#202) were very nice, helpful, and obviously put a great deal of effort into making their guests comfortable. Many thanks! :)

Cons:
- for us, we discovered that we would have preferred to be a bit more centrally located in Kihei. This is personal preference only, as we know many people who are Sugar Beach loyalists and would likely disagree! As a young family, we just would have liked to be closer to restaurants, attractions, and more children (there were very few, if any, at this condo during our stay.... a major plus for some and a minus for others!). Next visit we will stay in Kihei again but be apt to stay in a more Southern location.
- this location tends to be very windy. Nothing anyone can help, but we were nearly sucked out of our front door on many occasions!
- although the ocean views are great, our unit did not allow a view for North/ South exposure. Side units would likely have a better panoramic views, but we did miss being able to see down either end of the beach.

Our downfalls are more to do with personal preference than any real "flaws" with the accommodations. I would highly recommend this resort for retired/ empty nest couples, or anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing stay in Maui. For us, we will be seeking out more action/ family-geared areas next trip. This is our fourth visit to Maui, and our fourth condo stay - overall very happy with the condo and can't complain about a beautiful vacation in paradise!

“Kealia Condo #603- Paradise Found! It was perfect!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2011

My husband and I, and our 2 older teenage daughters, stayed at Kealia condo 603, also called Paradise Found, in Maui for 5 nights in August 2011. We had an amazing time, and we loved everything about it. The condo was perfect- warm, welcoming, very comfortable, immaculate, decorated with pride and taste, with great views of the ocean and with the awesome sound of crashing waves! It had everything we possibly needed to make it a perfect vacation, including beach chairs, snorkeling and picnic gear, Internet, and much more. We did not have to buy anything at all, except for the fresh fish, vegetables and fruits that we grilled a few nights on the building’s outdoor grill to make sumptuous dinners. We always ate on the Lanai, overlooking the beach, the waves, and the sunset! We loved those moments. The condo is also very conveniently located to do a lot of sightseeing, as Kihei is not only on the sunny side of the island, but also close to all the places to see! Frank, the owner, was very nice, very helpful and very generous with his time, and his suggestions, both before we got there, and while enjoying our time on Maui. We just loved our stay at Paradise Found in Maui, and dream of our next trip there!
