“A-210 Great vacation experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 February 2011

We were really pleased with A-210. I think every unit is different, depending on who owns it. This one had obviously been remodeled recently. The condo was large and had an open, spacious feeling with lots of windows. It was nicely furnished (important to me) - even had local Hawaiian art. We had 2 large bedroom suites, each with a complete bathroom. The kitchen was open so it was easy to socialize and cook at the same time. Loved the flat screen TV's, and dedicated computer desk. It was handy having a washer and dryer right in the unit. Also, we parked right under the unit instead of some huge parking lot. One afternoon it got windy, so we used the pretty pool in the complex (the complex isn't so huge that you need to jockey for a lounge chair). Location is the best - right across the street from the beach, and next to the upscale area called Wailea where I would run every day, plus central to lots of other stuff.
I would certainly stay here again (at least in A-210), and have recommended it to my friends.

“Our stay in A402 Dec 4-11”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2011

This condo is spacious, well laid out, had everything we expected and more, the Island furnishing were so nice, we could tell the owners put a lot of time and effort into making us feel at home.It was just what we wanted especially this location in the complex ,in every room we could see the beach & park,

Perfect for families .We loved sitting on the protected Lanai Overlooking Kamole 3 beach, it was so beautiful. What we really enjoyed was the sheltered coved beach right across the Rd, it was perfect for younger kids and non-swimmers.

The main beach has a lifeguard , you can swim, surf, snorkel or sun bathe to your heart's content. Nothing but sand and sun. There is also great a beach walk path , we took everyday for a little exercise
After 6 previous Maui visits, this condo gets our highest praise for value, location, comfort and being well equipped. Absolutely ideal for families very close to Wailiea hotels and restaurants

We hope to enjoy this slice of paradise again in the near future.

“Haleakala Shores B201... Great Value - Great Vacation!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 August 2010

Absolutely perfect stay at Haleakala Shores Condo Unit #B201. The advertisement on VRBO does not say enough. Besides being in a great location across from the best beaches, this condo unit is decorated so nicely with all the touches that make it feel great to come back after a long day of beach time. We had two adults and two 18 year olds and easily could have stowed a few more bodies. Came equipped with beach chairs, towels, water toys and even some sun screen! The baths were both huge also.
When you first drive up, this property looks okay, except there are no lush green lawns like some condos, but don't let that scare you...once inside this condo you will be pleasantly surprised. The pool area was very nice with nice foliage and plenty of chairs.

This condo is a corner unit on the 2nd floor, so it was nice to sit on the lanai (even had a resident gecko out on the light post daily) and people watch. We were so impressed that we hope to go back. Great value!

“A402 Great Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2010

We just spent a month in this great condo for the second time. It did not disappoint. It was so nice every morning to sit on the lanai and have coffee and watch the locals. The location is very convenient. Short walk to a Whalers store, ice-cream and restaurants. The beach is right across the street and is great for boogie boarding. The condo has many extras, beach chairs, beach towels, coolers, etc. A good size pool is also on the premises.

This is a good sized condo - with a family of four (two teenagers) it is nice to have some room. Also having two bathrooms is great. The kitchen is fully equiped with microwave, blender, coffee maker etc.

Would recommend for your consideration.

“Very memorable in unit A212”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 March 2010

This is a condo that is nothing to look at when you pull up to it from the outside, so I was a little nervous as we unloaded all our luggage out of the car. All the hallways are open air. But as we approached our doorway it felt more private as the doorways were not right behind you as in a traditional condo. There was lots of space between doorways.
When we opened the door we were very surprised and delighted at the well decorated and tropical feeling from the room. It was updated with marble tile floors, granite counters, stainless steel appliances and nice (not cheap Ikea) furniture. The two seperate bathrooms were spectacular with a large walk in shower in one and a shower plus triangle soaker tub in the other (never used it as we were right across the street from the beach and pool was right out the front door).
I awoke the first morning at 6am to a beautiful but loud bird symphony out side. The loudest echoyist bird loves the sound he gets from the open hallways. I loved it but for those who like to sleep in they might not be so in love. You heard some traffic especially the idiots who decide to ride their Harley's at 12AM and then ride by as fast as they can again 2 more times that night. I was not impressed.
But we loved that the beach was a 1 min walk across the street and that the condo was well equipped with beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and snorkel equipment.
The pool was great even though I didn't spend much time there as I am a beach person. The ground were well kept. We were just a bit annoyed that they seemed to be doing noisy gardening every day starting at 8 am. But that may not be happening all the time.
Of corse there is tons to do while you are there. All sorts of snorkeling tours to be had but I found one of the best snorkeling spots for us was right at the Kamole Point Beach right at our front door. People saw a turtle, small harmless? shark and I saw all sorts of colourful fish including a box fish and a school of parrot fish. It is a pretty quiet beach compared to the busyness of the others.
We loved that there were airconditioners in every room. The bedroom ones are a bit nosy but if you have them on and you can sleep through it then it will drown out some of the bird noises in the morning. Personally I turned it off so I could hear them. Nothing like the songs of the birds to remind you that you are waking up every morning in Maui.

I fould the Ross for Less in Kahului and loved it. If you are a bargin shopper this is the place to go for deals. I was happy to find two bathing suits for myself. This is not an easy feat. Ross was about 20 min. away.
Our special find was a very cute and beautuful lodge in Kula. A beautiful lunch or special dinner place with a spectaular view from up on the mountain. Also would recommend Capeche in Wailea for an special night out. Go for the food and ambience.

The only thing I would recommend with this particlar condo is to rewash the towels in your own detergent as you have to buy your own anyway. They didn't smell clean to me (the smell when you leave your towels in the washer to long. One of my petpeeve smells) and the same thing with the kitchen linen. We just went into Walmart and picked up a couple of our own kitchen linens for a buck and took them home with us after. Other than that everything was very clean. We felt very at home there. Wish we didn't have to leave.
But I totally would recommend this unit to others. The value was very good. I just hope the prices stay reasonable as we would love to come back again soon.
