The Haleakala Shores Condos are NOT a commercial holiday development. They are privately rented out by SOME of the owners. There are 2 double bedrooms both with en-suite toilet and shower. Large living area with a pull out double bed. A reasonably sized kitchen is open plan to the living area. The development is at right angles to the beach so the balconies do not generally have a sea view. The beach is literally across the road from the building; even a condo at the far end is only 300 yards from a great beach. There is a swimming pool area with free gas barbecues. The "no glass" rule in the swimming pool area is very good but the 9.00pm closing time is a little frustrating. Parking is available either in the complex or just outside on the grass verge. The only slight criticism I have is that access to both the toilets is through a bedroom, so anyone sleeping in the living area has to go through a bedroom to get there. The condo we rented wasn't cheap but if shared between 5 or 6 people it wasn't too bad.
