This is my first ever trip advisor review. I use the resources here all the time so thought I should finally give back. Sybil's place is perfect. If you are like me you search the internet for neat places to take your family. As Sybil once said to me it's time to jump in, you have found the perfect place so close to the national park and central to all of Hanas beaty and highlights. My first trip to Hana was a 1 night stay in Nancy's yurt at Luana spa (also great) but small for a long stay. I stayed in Sybil's Bamboo Gatehouse in front, aka the "beachhouse"-named by her family. This trip I stayed with girlfriend, and 12 year old son for 5 nights. Should of stayed longer as Hana is so amazing. It really is neat. Sybil's rentals are nicer than my home, she puts that extra special touch into them. Perfectly screened out for bugs, great kitchen, comfortable beds. It's really a great place. You know when you go somewhere and the wood on the doors has a molding type pattern, not that it's a big deal but stuff like that on a rental shows how much she cares about the property. Sybil is very nice with her time and helps the guests feel welcome. Your right across the street from the Venus pool, Hamoa beach is 8 minutes away, national park bamboo forest and national park with the perfect Horseback riding with Keoni that goes into the park, black sand beach caves, red sand beach, thai food, Hana and Sybils is perfect. I liked the gatehouse, you really feel on your own as it's the farthest property from other units at Papalani. The only downside to Hana is that the snorkeling doesnt compare to Kaanapali, but Hana really deserves a week if you can swing it.
