We just came back from a week in Maui and are so glad we chose the Cliff's Edge. All the wonderful things we read about this accomodation are true. The hosts, John and Susan, are lovely and helpful. The Sunrise Cottage, where we stayed, is an ideal getaway. Breathtaking views, peace and quiet, all the comforts we could wish for. We can't wait for a return visit!

hehe. But seriously we woke up to at least two rainbows every morning while sitting in the hot tub.
This is where we got married two weeks ago and we wouldn't change a minute. The location is spectacular. (Even the locals who married us said that it trumped the Ritz).
If you don't want solitude in paradise then look elsewhere. We had minimal dealings with the owners and that's how we like it! But when we did they were great.
My only recommendation for the owners is some new knives for the kitchen. (Maui has the best seafood!)
We will definitely be back.

We discovered the Cliff's Edge through a friend of a friend. Once we looked at the website we decided to take a chance. It looked beautiful on paper and it had everything we wanted for our honeymoon, seclusion, great views, with great amenities.

Once we found the place, it was a little challenging, we were not disappointed. The room and the views were everything we hoped. After a stressful week leading up to the wedding, all we wanted to do was relax and unwind the first day. Susan, one of the owners, booked us each a massage in our room, just what we needed.

Refreshed and relaxed from our trip we were ready to explore. The owners gave us some great tips on where to go and what to see. If you enjoy hiking and swimming, ask John and Susan about the bamboo forest; a hike through a hidden bamboo forest, over streams, climbing ropes, scaling ladders, a dip in a secret swimming hole...amazing.

Our stay at the Cliff's Edge was everything we wanted for our honeymoon.

Simply wonderful. It's a real hidden beauty. (Literally at the end of a dirt jungle road and on the edge of a 300 ft cliff, overlooking the beautiful blue ocean.) Every room has a view of the ocean and nearby cliffs. The rooms are clean and cozy. The hostess is gracious, charming and always helpful. And... although you are off the beaten path and far away from the touristy ocean motels and shopping you are minutes away from great small beach towns with ample shops and restaurants, beautiful beaches, spectacular waterfalls, rain forest hikes and fantastic mountain scenery.
