“This really is paradise”

You won't believe what a wonderful place this is. Bev and David have created a beautiful little oasis that you never want to leave. It was so nice each morning having coffee and breakfast on the patio, then going on a short adventure ,only to return to my evening hammock time, then a nightly soak in the absolutely beautiful hot tub time looking while gazing up at the moon and the milky way!!!!
I am already saving for my return trip. Thank you Bev and David, I felt so peaceful and loved during my stay. See you soon I hope.

Our second year at the Starwind cottage. Quiet and peaceful yet close to great food in Paia and Haiku. The attention to detail by Beverly and David is much appreciated.

“Two Thumbs Up, Highly Recommend”

I can't say enough good things about Maui Tradewinds and the hosts, Bev and David. Our stay there in November was great!! It is easy to find, right off the Hana Hwy on the quiet side of Maui. Everything was perfect, from all the "extras" that Bev has thought of, to the wonderful sunset and sunrise views, to the hot tub soaks in the morning and evening, to relaxing in the hammock. The suite is very private and quiet. Your hosts are available by phone if you need anything, but otherwise they disappear and your area is totally private. Bev and David were wonderful hosts. They provide you with some breakfast foods to get the morning going. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils, pot and pans, etc that you might need for cooking or grilling. The bathroom is stocked with soap, shampoo, sunscreen, etc. They have plenty of towels for use. The washer and dryer in your suite makes for less packing as you can do laundry while you are there. They even have all the water sport things you might need, like boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers, etc. Loved the wonderful views from the hot tub every morning and night. Great sunset view. Loved relaxing in the hammock every evening and listening to the water fountain. Even if it was raining, you could still enjoy the hammock because it is under the shelter of the house. I highly recommend Maui Tradewinds!!! Can't wait to come back someday.

Room Tip: Great place for peace and quiet

“A piece of heaven”

My husband and I stayed at the Starwind Cottage for our wedding/honeymoon trip. I'm trying to sum up my feelings into words for this review. It is very difficult. If I had to pick one word, it would be 'Wow!". Bev and David provide for you a dose of heaven on earth while you are staying with them. The cottage was all I thought it would be and more. IWe fell in love with the pics from the website, but they don't even do it justice. The veiws are just amazing. Bev provided all you need and then some. They respect your privacy as well as being at your disposal whenever you need them. The only problem we had was figuring out a way that we could get there yearly for our anniversaries. If we weren't coming from NJ we could probably swing it. Bev and Dave, hope to see you in 5 years or less!! (hoping for the 'less') God bless you both!!!

“Perfect Place in Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2011

Bev and David have created a truly stunning vacation cottage. We stayed in the Starwind Cottage for five nights following a week at a conference on the big island. What an amazing way to wind down our trip! Their attention to detail is spectacular. From the hot tub on the deck, to the outdoor shower, to the well-equipped kitchen, to the abundant towels and beach supplies--nothing could have been better.
