My fiance and I stayed at the Pilialoha in August of 04 for only four days and three nights but we wished we could have stayed much longer. The Pilialoha is the perfect bed and breakfast for those who want PEACE and a home away from home. The owners will treat you like family, as is the Hawaiian way. The accomodations are simple to speak of but it is the details that make this place so great. Every morning we were treated to a breakfast of something special and different, whether it was warm banana bread or freshly sliced pineapple, great care was given to the preparation and creative presentation of the food; we arrived to find newly placed orchids throughout the cottage and were pleased to find numerous guidebooks and info on the surrounding sights, restaurants, activities; the closet and garage are stocked with things to make your trip to Maui as enjoyable as possible - coolers, beach towels, snorkel gear, etc. This really is like having your own house in Maui. Everything is pristine and comfortable. It's also ideally located in the center of the island not too far from the beginning of the Road to Hana and Haleakala and Lahaina is only an hour's drive away. We found it very hard to leave the Pilialoha and I don't hesitate to give it my highest recommendation.
