We stayed at Sandpiper for a week in April. This was a last minute trip for us and we booked our trip with condo bob. We originally were going to stay at The Cliffs but he told us it got booked before we confirmed, so we stayed at Sandpiper.
We had an assigned parking spot, #62 so that was good. I could see if you did not have an assigned one how parking could be a problem here.
We had a 1 bedroom condo - 130A that was really nice. Walking in, you are in the living room with a few chairs, pull out sofa & tv with cable & dvd. There is a dining area as well. The kitchen had marble countertops and newer appliances. It was also fully stocked with everything we needed.
There was a washer/dryer unit in the condo which was really helpful. The patio area was lovely and private - this condo was on the bottom floor.
The bedroom had a comfy queen sized bed with dressers & tv. The bedroom had the sink & vanity outside of the area with the shower & toilet so that made nice for getting ready. The floor was a lovely ceramic tile.
This condo had everything you could want, beach towels & chairs, coolers, etc. The pool area was decent with a barbecue grill for all to use and a jacuzzi. It was not busy at all when we were there, at most 5 other people in the area.
Sandpiper does NOT have an ocean view. Maybe if you were on the top floor with some binoculars, yes, but otherwise no. But it is across from the golf course and in a really nice location. It also does not have air conditioning. This wasn't a problem for us because it wasn't hotter than 85 and there is a ceiling fan as well as 3 standing fans in the condo. Also, some of the walls beneath the windows were screens with wooden slats, so open air. This place gets a nice breeze - but it also allows noise in and out pretty easily.
We used this as a place to crash after being at the beaches all day and to wake up and get ready for our day, not really the kind of place you just want to hang out at all the time, but very good for those looking for a home base.
If you rent through this particular owner, they work with you a lot on the price. We paid $70 a night taxes & cleaning fee included which was a steal for this area and this condo. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
