“Suites with a fabulous view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

We were pleasantly surprised with the big size of the suite here with the massive glass windows looking out over the nearby ocean and mountains. We left the windows open and slept great to the sound of the ocean. Two huge tvs with one being a pop up at the end of the bed. Only down fall was not a separate shower, but there's a great big whirlpool for two.

Pool service is good. Small beach area so you can't walk on the beach far.

And the best is the Jean-Georges restaurant, Kauai Grill.Fabulous food.

Get a suite, although a little pricey, The butler service is amazing. They did a perfect job unpacking for me.

Room Tip: Get a suite and if not make sure your room has an ocean view. I think they all do though

Aloha,

We appreciate your time and sharing a review of your stay with us. The bay window feature are a delight as they capture the breath-taking views of Hanalei Bay and Mount Makana from all suites and ocean view rooms.

Your kind words shared for our staff and Butler team are well received and enjoyed as words of encouragement and praise. They were also shared during the staff meeting this morning. As we pioneer the St. Regis brand in Hawaii our staff are committed to excellence and are well trained in the ho’okipa culture traditions embodied in the aloha spirit.

On behalf of the entire St. Regis Ohana (family) should your travels return you to Kaua’i we look forward to welcoming you back to our resort. A hui hou – until we meet again!

Warmest Aloha,
Michele Davis

“Not in the winter”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Beautiful property, if a bit overdone, in transcendent setting. Many condos and rooms decrease the tranquillity. North shore beaches much better in summer than winter, in fact we would not stay on the north shore in winter. Hyatt Regency (especially club rooms) is heavenly all year, definitely preferred in winter.

“We ate breakfast on the patio every morning - paradise!”

By far our favorite spot was on the outdoor patio grill. The views are so beautiful you would think they were paintings. All service is excellent! Well worth every penny! Clean and friendly atmosphere. Plenty of activities every day and night. Keep your eyes peeled...many famous faces are seen as well!! We look forward to our next visit -- hopefully very soon!!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the bay are worth it ! The views are jaw-dropping each and every day, rain or shine!

“Beautiful property and strong customer service”

My wife and I really enjoyed our first trip to Kauai in large part due to our stay here. We arrived and were warmly greeted by the staff. Overall the staff is the strongest asset the property has. Justin in Concierge arranged our spa and outside activities very well. Julia and Sarah in the salon were excellent. The room was amazing. Junior suite on the top floor overlooking ocean and bay. Really enjoyed the shower with full length window overlooking water and postcard perfect views of Hanalei (with a switch activated modesty screen if you want) The beach is not the powder soft sand kind but rather a coarser variety so I would advise bringing beach shoes. If i Had to scrounge to find something to criticize, I would say that the butler service for the suites was not easily accessible. I called 4 times during our 3 day stay and twice no one answered. Didn't even roll to an operator. Overall gorgeous facility, unbelievable views, and great people. Highly recommend.

Aloha,

Mahalo for your time and sharing a review of your stay with us. We’re pleased to know you and your wife enjoyed your first trip to Kaua’i and your stay with us. We believe 2 of our greatest amenities of our resort is its location with breath-taking views of Hanalei Bay and the warmth of the “aloha spirit” found in our staff.

Your kind mention for our staff is greatly appreciated. Especially the specific mention of Justin, Julia and Sarah. They are well received and have been shared with their supervisor.
Each suite in our Crown Suite Collections is exquisite. The transparent glass reveal in the Prince Junior Suite is unique as it overlooks the ocean, with views just as you describe, “postcard perfect views of Hanalei”.

Thank you for bringing the butler request to our attention. Our team is aware of the concern and is being addressed.

On behalf of the entire St. Regis Ohana (family), should your travels return you to Kaua’i we hope to welcome you back to The St. Regis Princeville Resort. A Hui Hou – Until We Meet Again!

Warmest Aloha,
Michele Davis

“Unbelievable Spa Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

I've had many massages but the one by Meghan at St Regis in Princeville was the best I've ever experienced. I did the hot stone with Taro butter massage, and it was exquisite. It was well worth the cost, and I left feeling relaxed and refreshed and renewed. The spa itself is great, the showers are incredible, and impeccably clean, as well as the sauna and steam room. The lounges are also wonderful, I could have stayed all day.
