I am so sorry this review has been long time coming. I had a long illness in my family and haven't been up to normal. But Hale Pohaku has been on my mind all the time and we remininsce about our stay there last year. My daughter got married there and we couldn't have found a more perfect place to have the "wedding" and "family reunion". We searched the internent and found other places and when my daughter found Hale Pohaku, I immediately flew there to check it out.
Accomodations were larger than we expected. Things were attended to promptly by Mr. Wynne. Whenever I needed anything, he was right there to handle it. I cannot complain about "ANYTHING". The grounds were awsome. Yes, the houses are older, but they were perfect for our families. Yes, they didn't have air conditioning, but you have the trade winds. Yes, its not the Hilton and if that's what you expect, then stay at the Hilton.
My family, locals and mainlanders, just loved the place. I would return again. It is local accomodations as they were old plantation houses which have been refurbished.
Thank you Richard for all you did for our family. We had a most memorable wedding and just totally "LOVED" staying there.
