We stayed at Aloha Sunset cottage for nine nights. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The owner Catherine greeted us on arrival and was very helpful and welcoming. The cottage was simpley perfect and the surrounding gardens idyllic. Sunset cottage was well equiped and the owners have thought of everything you could want on holiday including deck chairs for the beach, snorkels, boogie boards beach mats and towels to name but a few.

We were very impressed with the attention to detail, It was spotlessly clean and we wanted for nothing.

Our stay coincided with thanks giving celebrations. The owners Catherie and Alan invited us to thanks giving dinner with their friends and family. We had a fantastic night and were overwhelmed by their hospitality and generosity.

We would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage.

My husband and I spent a week at the Aloha Sunrise Cottage - it is truly a little slice of heaven. The grounds are gorgeous. The house has everything you need to be comfortable, including a well-stocked kitchen, boogie boards, beach towels and snorkeling gear. The bed is beyond comfortable. The owners (and their pets) are delightful. We asked Catherine where we should look for sea turtles, and she told us the exact snorkeling spot. We followed her advice and sure enough, we spent the afternoon hanging out with four turtles who happened to be in the exact spot she recommended. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that the location of the cottage is not within walking distance to any beaches or restaurants, so we ended up driving more than we wanted to. That may not be a big deal to other travelers. Despite this, I would absolutely recommend this cottage and I would definitely stay here if (when) I am in Kauai again.

My husband and I have returned to the Sunset cottage two years in a row as it feels like "a home away from home". The very clean, private and comfortable cottage has all you need including a washer and dryer which is bonus after days of on the beach. The location is superb--just minutes away from great local and upscale restaurants, private beaches, and the most gorgeous view in Hawaii--the Hanalei Taro Fields lookout! Most of all, Catherine and Allan are the most friendly, open hosts who so generously give you a welcome basket of their fresh fruits and all the local advice you need. As a special bonus, the caretaker is a licensed Massage Therapist who will do a private massage right in your cottage! You will love it here!

My wife & I spent two fantastic weeks at the Aloha sunrise Cottage and we can't wait to go back.The grounds,all seven acres,we're gorgeous and you could pick your own grapefruit,oranges,limes,papaya,it was great.The cottages were like a home away from home,you didn't need anything.very well maintained,The mountain views,the flowers and fauna,and all the birds were very peaceful and relaxing.Their 2 cats and jack russell terrier"A'kiku are so friendly you feel like their your own.The secluded beach's are a 5 min. drive away and your close to Hanalai Bay, If your looking for a nice,peaceful and quiet place,this is it;look no farther.
