We spent six nights at Anuenue Plantation and if we make it back to Kauai one day, we’d definitely stay here again. We were looking for a calm, peaceful, unique and pretty B&B. Anuenue provided all of that and more. Our hosts Fred and Harry made themselves available every morning during breakfast, answered questions and gave us tips on everything ranging from restaurant choices to beaches and gardens in different parts of the island. The breakfast menu was different every morning, but always included fresh tropical fruits, coffee (or tea) and juice, in addition to a “main course.” We stayed in one of the two guest rooms on the ground floor. Our room had a balcony and large windows that looked out on to a lovely corner of the garden. The trees and flowers provide full privacy in the room even if you never pull down the shades. The room had a ceiling fan, but we rarely needed to use it; the weather was beautiful and cool at night, so we just left the windows open (there are screens on all windows.) Everything about the room (bed, sheets, towels, bathroom, shower) was perfectly clean/well-functioning.

Anuenue Plantation was clean, calm, and comfortable at a reasonable price: we would recommend it to anyone who's planning on staying in Kauai.

It was a memorable one-night stay in Kauai. Their large house was beautiful and tidy, like an art museum. The room was very clean and had a nice view of the lovely garden. The hosts, Harry and Fred were warm and kind. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast and conversation with them. We wish we could have stay longer.

We recently spent 4 nights at this B&B. The house is in lovely grounds in a calm and peaceful area in the hills, a few miles from the coast. Fred and Harry, the owners, are excellent hosts, and knowledgeable about the island. We had a comfortable room, and breakfasts were varied and substgantial, with lots of fresh Hawaii fruits.

We enjoyed our stay at Anuenue Plantation. B&B is located just outside of Kapaa in a wonderful garden setting. We woke every morning to birds – and jungle fowl (roosters). Room was spacious, with a small lanai, clean and comfortable. Harry and Fred provided breakfast conversation and gave accurate advice on restaurants and sites. Breakfast was excellent and tailored to our likes. Couldn’t ask for anything more!
