I stayed at the Lanikai Condos with my husband, sister, brother-in-law and 18 month old niece in Feb 2011. This condo and complex is beautiful! It has gorgeous paved walkways from the parking lot to the condos to the pool and beach. The landscaping is very well kept, tropical and luscious with a peaceful and quaint atmosphere. It is a gated resort in a safe location.

The pool area is an awesome extra getaway. There are tables with umbrellas to relax under when not enjoying the heated water, lounge chairs that give an infinity-edge look into the ocean, and a shower & foot faucet to rinse off at after walking on the beach. It is fully gated with access to the complex or beach.

The beach is a private cove with a unique wading pool for kids and shallow sand bar with neat marine life.

The Resort is close to so many things to do; only a 25 minute drive to North Shore and South Shore, walking distance to the Coconut Marketplace, 5 minute drive to the Grocery store and 10 minute drive to downtown Kapaa.

We can't wait to go back!!

Staying at LaniKai was a wonderful choice for our family! We rented a 2 bedroom condo that had an ocean view. The pool was warm and always inviting! The grounds were beautiful and peaceful. We will definilty be back!!

We stayed at the Lanikai from Sept 27 to the 3rd of Oct. Our first room was very nice, good ocean view, but... there was construction going on across the street which started at 2 in the morning!!! Needless to say we had to change our room. The gal in the office was very nice, and we were able to change rooms the next day, we had another nite of noise though. The new room was really nice.

One word of caution for families with young kids - we have 3, there is a "quiet period" from 10 pm to 8 am. Our kids got up at 6 and it was hard to keep them quite enough. Also no feeding the birds. The beach is not that big and the ocean is not really good for kids since there are a lot of rocks. In the morning and afternoon however, when the surf is calm, there is a wall that protects the beach from the waves and the kids swam in the pool that was created by the water. We didn't ues the boulder enclosed "pool". It was a five minute walk to shops ice cream and shave ice which was nice. I wouldn't recommend the places to eat. We tried two and they were not good. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return. I would recommend a bottom floor unit if you have kids, we found it was stressful trying to keep ours that quiet, they have no insulation between floors.

The best vacation ever!!! The units were beautiful, clean, and well equipped. The view and the ocean breeze were also a wonderful plus point. Service was awesome. Housekeeping would stop by everyday to replace towels, make the beds, and sweep the floor.
The swimming pool was clean. Restaurants and stores were two minutes away. I definitely recommend this resort for all families. Although it may be expensive, it's definitely worth it.
