“A perfect B & B on the South Shore of Kauai”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

This is a wonderful B & B - very affordable, great hot breakfasts (with fabulous coffee and fruit), friendly hosts who are so informative about their island. Tucked up in the hills of the South Shore, the location is very convenient to all venues - Waimea Canyon, Poipu Beach, Port Allen, etc. We loved the foliage outside the windows. Having beach towels available made for a convenient day at the beach.

“Excellent value, clean, tropical and warm hosts”

I cannot say enough about this place. I stayed here with my boyfriend this summer after attending a wedding in Oahu. We were so happy to have found this spot. First, it is very private and not on the beaten path. We found it convenient for excursions to both sides of the island. The hosts were wonderful with recommendations, they were friendly without intruding and the food was so good. The place is clean, clean, clean with a nice modern aesthetic. Do not worry about the AC. You will not need it. The breeze is so nice from the top of the hill. The beds are very comfortable. They spent the money to redo the things that mattered.

“Loved It!”

This B&B was such a treat! My friend and I stayed in the largest room that had a separate living area with a futon. It was way bigger than we expected, it had high ceilings and pretty treetop views. THE BREAKFAST IS A DREAM!!! Delicious coffee and the freshest fruit possible (literally picked off the vine). Super friendly hosts, tastefully designed decor and house in general. Appreciated the selection of videos and reading material in the room for us.

For those light sleepers out there, maybe bring ear plugs because this hillside area and, come to think of it, the whole island hears a chorus of roosters and other fun animals at all hours.

This was, for sure, a tremendous value and I'm glad we found it! Hope to stay again.

“Great, Quiet Place for Kauai - Great Value for the Money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 August 2011

A great place to stay at a very reasonable price. A nice 1 bedroom type suite with a separate room with a couch / TV / etc. Very nice couple – Ben and Traci and the breakfast was quite good, varying and Hawaiian. Very clean / comfortable.
Would definitely recommend – not right on a beach, but easy to access anywhere on the island with a car and the west coast is must-see with the canyon and remote beaches.

“comfy bed and delicious breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2011

My husband and I spent a couples nights on Kauai and at Strawberry Guava Bed and Breakfast on our honeymoon vacation. We spent most of our time sightseeing and were basically only at the B & B to eat and sleep. The bed was the most comfortable bed on my 2 week trip- it was like a cloud. The breakfasts were the best! The first morning was a toasted bagel with egg, melted cheese, and sliced grape tomatoes on top. Talk about a mouth-watering and delicious breakfast! We were also each served a half papaya filled with fruit. The next day we had banana pancakes as the main course. The room was clean and welcoming. Yes- as others have mentioned Tracy and Ben do have children. When we saw the children, they were very respectful and polite. Thank you for making our stay on Kauai so memorable.
