We stayed only one night, during a visit to the National Park. The B&B is very conveniently located, just a short drive from the entrance of the park. The hosts were really helpful: they even made a call to researve for us at a restaruant nearby. The room is in perfect state, with a full supply of towels and accessories. WIFI works just fine, and the house is in a large property, so it was really quiet during the night.
Breakfast was OK: continental type, with a few choices.
I highly recommend this place: excellent value - not a "boutique B&B with gourmet breakfast", but definitely a good place to stay

My friends and I stayed in this bed and breakfast for two nights. We had wonderful time. The room was very comfortable and clean. The whole place was quiet and the surrounding was so serene. The owner was very helpful on tips on what to do and see in the Volcano area, and he served breakfast to all of us in the morning while engaging us in interesting conversations.
We will definitely stay here again if/when we do come back to Big Island. We highly recommend the place to friends and family. Don't be discouraged by the route to get to the house. It is the countryside so it is pitch black after the sun down.

The hotel is a guest house type. A couple runs the hotel.They are very gentle and helpful people. The interiors are good and the breakfast is rellay good. The best thing is the location of the hotel and service.

I'll start with the pluses. Our bedroom and bathroom was comfortable and a decent size.
The home was nice and the common area had a large TV available to the guests and was comfortable as well.
The price was fair and affordable and close to the Volcano Park entrance.
We were given a list of RULES and instructions that we found VERY irritating. It seemed much more important to the innkeeper for the guest to read, understand and follow the rules than their interest in the guest enjoying their stay at their B&B.
The bedroom had no privacy curtains not only in the bedroom which I could of handled but not even one in the bathroom.
The card we filled for what we wanted for breakfast gave us the choice of juice or fruit cup (canned pineapple), toast, bagel or banana nut bread, coffee or tea. We found that pretty skimpy especially the canned pineapple.
There was no tea/coffee making facilities for one to make a warm drink when the guests wanted one upon arrival or in the evening and none was offered. A pitcher of water was in our bedroom.
Next time we are in Volcano we will find another B&B
