A good value. It turned out to be much nicer than we expected and the price was reasonable. Excellent service response. Peaceful, scenic area, nestled on the side of the mountain, with a great view of Mauna Kea and the coast. The view of the stars at night was stunning. Highly recommend.

This was the first time we had booked overseas B&B without recommendations. Viviane & Gayland were lovely to deal with. We were so surprised when we arrived at our destination settling down in the suite cottage with plenty of room, kitchenette, privacy and spectacular views, we felt at peace in this beautiful setting. The lower suite at ground level does not have as striking a view as the upstairs suites but the panorama of the great mountains in the distance seen through the dining room window is impressive. I found this suite very clean, especially the kitchen, not a sign of insects which are so common in the tropics. Situated as it is at about 2500 ft above sea level it recieves cool mountain breezes, which were quite welcome after daytrips to the Kona coast and to the Hamakua coast. I stayed there last year and again this year and was cordially welcomed each time. This year much to my surprise I found it equipped with a wireless internet connection.

Perfect central location for exploring the north end of the island, including Waipi'o Valley, Pololu Valleu, Mauna Kea. Close to many great restaurants in all price ranges and shopping. The rooms were spacious on a beautiful hillside where you can see cowboys herding their cattle in the morning.
