“Private, Scenic, Perfect”

Belle Vue Waimea was the perfect spot for our few nights in Waimea. Located on a hillside above the town, the view was spectacular and the surroundings quiet. On the other side of the road were cattle grazing, but looking downhill you could see Mauna Kea to the left, Mauna Loa straight ahead and the coast to the right. Spectacular! Not to mention that every time you stepped outside the fragrant flowers welcomed you.

Our studio room was large, with a king-size bed, futon, couch, dresser, TV, free wifi, closet. The kitchen was well-stocked with breakfast items. Shampoo and soap were provided in the bathroom. Tatami mats were even on hand for some beachgoing.

The proprietors were very friendly and responsive, providing all kinds of advice for our time in the area. We could have stayed here much longer than we did and been quite happy. A great place!

Room Tip: We had the studio at the base of the stairs, which probably had the "worst" view of all th...

“Great place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2011

Best place for the price. The penthouse room has excellent view of the sunset. Kitchen and restroom were very clean. Couch could have been cleaner. The host was very courteous and had great suggestions.
Nearby attractions: mauna kea observatory, upolo pt, pololu valley and waipio valley. Do not miss out the drive up to mauna kea(its cold up there - take a jacket)
Nice restaurants nearby.

“Belle vue earns a 5 star!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011 via mobile

The name of the place speaks for itself, it offers a stunning view on the valley! The penthouse suite offers the best sunset ever!
The penthouse is incredibly cosy and perfect place for lovers! We recommend to go spend the evening there enjoying cooking and chilling out in the sofa with a glass of wine

“Couldn't have picked a better place on such short notice!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2011

My family and I were visiting O'ahu last March and decided to spend some time on the Big Island. We called around to several B&B's a couple days in advance, but were not having much luck since everyone was full. We contacted Vivian, but she too was booked, but could get us in later in the week. She offered some other recommendations for other B&B and hotels in the area. We thought, how nice, and made some more calls, but still everyone was booked. Fortunately for us, we adjusted our plans and called her back and booked the opening she had. I'm so glad we did, the hospitality was wonderful, the location is beautiful, the spacious living area was clean and pleasing to sit in and relax. We pretty much knew that this location would be a home base to go off and do things around the island, but now wished we had planned some time to stay a whole day at the B&B and enjoy the view of the ocean and the garden. We were also traveling with our young girls and they enjoyed the stay as well. They got a bit noisy at times, but our neighbors couldn’t hear them (nor could we hear them), so all was peaceful! There’s a grocery store not so far away, it’s located near coffee plantations and the chocolate factory, and is a good base to go far off for day trips.
We had a great time and were very comfortable here and would definitely make reservations for our next trip. Thank you Vivian for your great hospitality!

“Great Place... Wish We Could Have Stayed Longer”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2011

My friend and I stayed here for one night as we were doing a road trip around the Big Island. When we booked the place, they told us which unit it would be and to just make ourselves comfortable. We walked into what we thought was the place we were renting and it looked like someone's home. We were in the right place and pleasantly surprised. Our place was very spacious with a kitchen, living room, and bedroom. There were even supplies for breakfast pre-stocked in the kitchen for us. The parking situation was a little tight so I parked the car on the street nearby, but it wasn't a problem to find space. I would definitely return but next time I'll stay for longer!!
