Spent a week at the Palms Cliff House and can't say enough about its beautiful location (right on a bay, with lush surroundings), friendly staff (couldn't have been more gracious), delicious and creative breakfasts that filled us up till dinner (the butter rum muffins were my fave!), and accommodating hosts (my husband and I both have dietary limitations that were handled beautifully). Our time was so relaxing there, I honestly think we spent more time at the Inn than we would at most hotels, it was just that comfortable and peaceful. The "guest room" was a wonderful asset ... tables set up where you could use your laptop (wifi at a minimal fee), purchase snack or microwaveable foods (convenient for late arrivals, as the Inn is about 20 minutes from the Hilo area), or check out games/dvds for your use. If there was something to make a visitor more comfortable, they had already thought about it and provided for it! We really do recommend this Inn, and certainly will revisit on future trips.

This B&B got everything right. The rooms were done as well as any fine hotel, with all the little extras in the room. The owner was polite, warm, and helpful. The breakfast was great, and the view from the room was magnificent. Great romantic setting for our honeymoon!

We had a wonderful stay at Palms Cliff House. The owners gave us an upgrade to a lovely room with perfect views of the ocean. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and we looked forward to breakfast every morning. Fresh muffins and scones, fresh juice and fruit, pancakes, chicken mango sausage, quiche - yum!! The owners were not the most helpful in giving recommendations / advice for the area, but if you have a good guidebook, you're fine. I would definitely come back to this place.

Really nice comfortable inn. It is an inn not a B&B, so not really the atmosphere of a B&B Good breakfasts, nice landscaping, confortable rooms and great views.

The Inn provides a small area for microwaving food, dishes etc for snacking on the terrace of your room before an evening out or while watching the ocean.

It is a little far out from Hilo and not much in the immediate area for food so be aware of that
