“Loved It!”

We absolutely loved our stay here! There are only 2 rental rooms and the layout is well thought out as it offers both privacy and great views. Lonn Armour prepares an amazing (and I mean AMAZING) breakfast each morning. He serves fruit and coffee that he grows right on the property. The fresh squeezed orange juice is like dessert, especially since you can drink it while looking at the plump, ripe oranges on citrus trees in the back yard. The coffee is delicious. Neither my husband nor I are coffee drinkers, but we not only topped off our cups several times, but also purchased a bag of Lonn's coffee to bring home with us. The breakfast main course was fabulous each day. You certainly won't leave there hungry when you set out to start your day.

Lonn is a terrific host full of great stories of his life experiences. He gave us advice on beaches to visit and even supplied beach chairs, mats, and towels for our use. If you need a break from all of the 'seeing and doing' on the Big Island, this is the place to do it as well. We spent all of one morning chilling out on the lanai reading, looking through the telescope, and petting 'Doog the dog'. This B&B is a great place for relaxation.

Great B&B. Great Owner. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Room Tip: There are only 2 rooms. I think that both are identical. They are spacious and have private lanais...

“Great B&B and a very nice owner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 November 2011

The B&B consists of two identical suites. The suites are great with a big living room, private lanai and bathroom (shower and whirlpool).
The view of the lanai is over the owners coffee farm with the ocean in the background.
The breakfast was great: Fresh food from the owners garden and local farmer markets, own brewed coffee and way more.
The owner (Lonn) was very nice and friendly. He gave us a lot of useful information and tips for our stay.

“Perfect for Us!”

Lonn Armour's hospitality and gourmet breakfasts exceeded our expectations.
The property was beautiful! The view from the deck as we walked to the room was amazing. It looked down over Kailua-Kona and the ocean. The room was much bigger than we expected with a large shower and separate jacuzzi tub and a king-sized bed. The private lanai had complete privacy with breathtaking views. Did we mention the breakfasts? Imagine fresh bananas, white pineapple and papaya with lime to begin the experience, then mouthwatering blueberry coffee cake hot from the oven or Portuguese french toast with seared pears and walnuts. Each was as delicious as the next. In fact, we cut our trip short on the Hilo side of the island just to stay one more night at Hale Hualalai! "Farmer Armour's" homegrown coffee was delicious as well.

Lonn provided suggestions for dining and day trips. Having been a diver, he had ideas and suggestions for diving and snorkeling. We enjoyed hearing about the years he's spent on the island!

“Great space, great food!”

We splurged a bit for a two night stay here to wrap up our trip (usually are hunting for budget accommodations) however the breakfast's were out of this world and the suites were spacious and complete making this b&b a great overall value. Also wonderful recommendations and plenty of other resources on hand such as guide books and beach towels. Very relaxing and a perfect short distance from downtown.

“Great location, breakfast and of course home grown kona coffee!”

This B and B has 2 large rooms on the hilltop overlooking the coffee trees each with a private lanai. Breakfast was a treat-the owner Lonn used to be a chef and offers a lot of information along with his gourmet breakfasts. Our son had visited 3 years prior and recommended it and we were not disappointed. Each room has a fridge and Lonn has an ample supply of movies for late night viewing. Perhaps a bit hard to find but worth the effort - a quiet retreat that we hope to get back to one day- a definite yes and thank you owner Lonn! D and T Hershey PA

Room Tip: Both rooms are identical
