We love Hilo and whenever we go we always stay (if they are not booked up) at this, our favorite B&B. We have traveled for the last 32 years all over the world and this is by far our favorite place to stay. This neighborhood above quaint and charming Hilo is quiet with lovely old custom homes, views of the bay and rivers actually running through some of the properties like you've never seen before. Our bedroom was cozy and well appointed with lots of places to put all those travel things. A big bathroom and a kitchenette. A large and comfortable sitting room with travel books and reading material. There's a long comfortable enclosed front porch in front of the rooms. You will wake every morning to your hot coffee already for you and when you say the time John and Charlotte will have a delicious fresh fruit salad with all those wonderful hawaiian fruits, homemade muffins and bread, and cereal. All you will need to start your day.
All that having been said, I've saved the very best for last and that is John and Charlotte your hosts. When you arrive they will be there to welcome you. They are truly happy to see you and you can tell they love having guest. You feel like you are friends even family. They pop over to the breakfast room when your breakfast is about over and have a chat which we always looked forward too. When we came back after a long day out they enjoyed sharing our days outing and would always offer good information about things to do and see and in our case share in the perspective homes we were looking at to buy in the area, we like it that much there. It was so much fun to share our excitement with them.
I look forward to going back so much, and know that you will also love this, Home Away From Home.
