We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful B&B (5 nights) in December 2011. Based upon our travel preferences, I located this property on the internet and began to investigate. It did not take long to realize it would fit our needs perfectly as it offered great lodging choices, a hot breakfast filled with variety, was a bit off the beaten path, and offered the opportunity to meet and chat with other guests in a very comfortable setting...part of which overlooks the Pacific.
It is everything, and more, described on their web site. The wraparound porch is great for breakfast, later in the day to relax after a day of sightseeing, and for viewing the beautiful sunsets. The soft leather furniture in the setting room, along with the soft Hawaiian music playing in the background, is yet another respite for relaxation and conversation with other guests.
In addition to having great business acumen, the owners have great senses of humor. They take time to make sure you happy with your stay, ask if need site-seeing information, offer recommendations about sites, restaurants etc and share their personal experiences about each. Additionally, if time permits, they are happy to give you a personal tour of the plantation. You will learn about growing coffee, fruit trees, plants, flowers and harvesting the crops etc. All very informative and interesting.
The bottom line....this property rates very high on the list of many B&Bs and Inns we have spent time at within and outside the USA. We highly recommend it and would not hesitate to stay here again.
Aloha!
