We stayed at a 2br+loft condo managed by the Jackson Hole Rendezvous Mountain Rentals & Management. The condo was beautiful and very well maintained. The price was great, especially given the fact that it was over New Year's. There is a free shuttle to the slopes which are 5 miles away. The place felt like a hotel, there was a front desk number, house keeping, delivery from the local restaurants, etc. The management company was helpful, professional and courteous. We highly recommend this place. You can use the on-site health club and hot tub+sauna for a small additional fee.

I booked a 2 BR/2BA townhome via Expedia.com and The Aspens. I was a little nervous as to what I will get--will it be comfortable, dated, in a good location with a good view...what I got was adequate, although it took a long time to get there.

First, the office is very very difficult to find, and not the address Expedia gives. The management knows that, was apologetic, and I'm certain followed up, as they said they had been fighting Expedia for two years over the office address. The office is in Teton Village next to the gas station--about 7 miles from where it is said to be. After a lot of confusion, checking with other timeshare businesses, etc., I got help tracking them down. I can't imagine trying to find it at night after everything is closed!

The condo was pretty dated circa 1989. It was clean. It had a view of the Teton Club pool, for which you get a membership to the club for your stay. The deck is not really one to hang out on...very closed in and weathered. The sofa was scratchy--like I said, dated and probably just as old. Also, the sun shown through the bedroom upstairs at 5:30--so no sleeping in.

The internet supplied by management for free did not work on day 2, 3 or 4-was able to use a neighbor's wireless however.

I'll definitely return to Jackson Hole--I loved the visit and it is a fantastic place. I won't stay here though---too many better places to stay with more comfort and confidence.

I recommend with reservations--if you want a bigger place, it's fine for the money in the area...

The good:
-great location
-my condo, a 2-story 2 BR on the 2nd floor had a frontal view of the Teton Club pool.
-membership to the Teton Club and pool.
-good space
-good equipment and nice bathrooms.
-lots of TV channels

The "could be better":

-dated
-uncomfortable couches
-too much light in the rooms int he morning
-no Air Conditioning if you are here in the summer, it can get quite warm.

Poor:

-dated
-internet inconsistent; difficulty logging on, and ended up by day 3 logging into a resident's internet connection because Aspen would not connect.
-provided key; did not work. Check in clerk was great and brought new keys. Didn't know anything about internet though.
-VERY difficult to find. Management blamed Expedia (who I booked through). After 60 minutes of trying to find office, be aware that front desk (open 6am-Midnight) is at Teton Village next door to the gas station; NOT on Lake Creek or anywhere near condo. They are indeed frustrated with Expedia, as the address has not been changed by Expedia.

Other notes:

-EXPENSIVE market next door. Go to Albertsons or Smiths down street.
-Between Teton Village and Downtown Jackson, WY. Great location!
-soap, shampoo, general items (think Residence Inn) are provided in condo.

I'd stay her again if I could get a better rate than downtown Jackson or Teton Village-but would be a last resort compared to some of the summer rates available that are comparable in better locations (although smaller rooms/facilities).

went for a week with spouse, 3 children, and extended family. we were in jackson to ski, and the location was convenient to teton village. kitchen well-stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. very quiet. just a few complaints: no wireless internet capability (even thought i was willing to pay for it), and the shuttle service to/from the ski resort drops you off at the entrance to the aspens---quite a walk to the unit we rented, considering my mom and dad in-law had skis, poles, and boots to carry. would be very nice if the shuttle would drive the distance to the condo. we had a moose family in our backyard one morning!! great teton views....
