On our recent vacation to the Teton Valley/Jackson Hole area, we must have passed by Chippy's Kitchen at least a half dozen times. On the last day we were there, we decided to stop in and grab a bite for lunch. After eating, we realized what a mistake we made in driving by the first five times.
Chippy's has a chalkboard menu with sandwiches of the day, a case of luscious desserts, and pre-packed dinners to go. This limited selection still offers a variety of things to choose from and everyone from your meat-loving husband to your vegetarian teenager will be able to find something to delight them here.
We had two sandwiches and several cookies (if they're making the "mounds"-style cookies... eat one for me) and enjoyed our freshly-cooked meal on a picnic table out front. Not a bite of anything was left over. We had several more expensive meals on our trip (mostly rip-off tourist food) and this was by far the best meal we had in the area. Don't make the same mistake that we did of driving by, stop in every day to see what's new and savor the best meals available in Jackson Hole. Another bonus is that Chippy's seems to try to buy local, which means that the freshest and tastiest meats and produce are used. A true delight.
