But if it isn't, you'll be happier staying at another resort in Teton Village.
My actual rating for this hotel is about a 2.5, but I rounded up as a courtesy.
We booked this resort because my fiance and I were traveling with my sister and his friend, both of whom were on a tighter budget for the trip. We decided it was most important for us to stay slope-side, otherwise with our budget we would have gone with the Best Western Plus, which looked a lot nicer and had more favorable reviews.
I read the reviews on Trip Advisor before our stay and was a little worried about what we'd find when we checked in. While the room seemed clean enough, i.e. the sheets were clean, no bed bugs or other bugs, it wasn't sparkling. Like another reviewer, I noticed hair balls floating along the carpet from the moment we checked in. The bathroom had a similar level of cleanliness. I felt ok taking a shower, but would never take a bath in the tub. The shower heads were very low as other reviewers mentioned. I didn't walk around barefoot, but I wasn't so horrified I demanded we all find another hotel immediately.
What I didn't realize before checking in, but subsequently noticed a few reviews mention - the Inn is actually a motel, not a hotel. This means long corridors in the frigid outdoor temps of Jackson. This also meant the pool and hot tub were functionally unusable if your room is any distance from them (and ours were on the far side of the resort).
When I went to check the pool and hot tub, the hot tub was ice cold and the pool was not more than 75 degrees (which in those temps feels like freezing). I asked the front desk about the hot tub and they said it needed to be cleaned and would be ready in a few hours. It wasn't. At a ski resort I rely on the hot tub to help me recover from a day on the slopes, so it bothered me that the Inn advertised itself as having a hot tub, but didn't.
After two nights here, I got a room for my fiance and I at the Hotel Terra next door, which I loved. (I later learned both the Inn and the Terra are owned by the same people, which I still can't quite wrap my head around given the level of care and service at the Terra, and the lack thereof at the Inn).
The bed was ok - no fitted sheets as others mentioned, which is a little gross if the sheets slip off in the night and you find yourself getting closer to the mattress than you intended. But it wasn't the worst nights sleep I ever had.
If you're looking for a cheap slope-side room with a kitchenette, you'll probably wind up staying here. But if you have more cash to spend, I'd recommend one of the other hotels, especially the Terra.
