We booked our room ahead of time for our 2009 Wyoming big game hunt. Quite frankly I was appalled by both the room and the service. I've experienced better conditions in a GP-Medium tent while serving in the Army. The room smelled like a litter box and we had to request toilet paper and towels each day. The room didn't see a single cleaning during our multi-day stay, we even had to dispose of our own trash. The owners/management didn't have a clue about basic customer service or courtesy toward guests. Needless to say, we won't be staying here during any of our future trips to beautiful Wyoming. Adored Saratoga, but this place is a blight on the community.

This motel is the last of the town's original motels. Totally upgraded with modern heat, television, cable and Wi-Fi. Large parking areas for your snow mobiles and ATV's. Friendly service and very clean rooms. Walking distance to natural hot springs.

hi my name is kevin and i recently stayed in this hotel during a xc bicycle trip and after one of the hardest days yet i decided reluctantly to stay in a motel and robert ( the owner ), and the sage and sand motel staff, made the stay amazing and truly memorable. first off they gave me a small discount because of my shortage on cash on a night when they became completely booked, then after this favor im invited over for dinner with his family. the hotel is being remodeled and the rooms are looking stellar along with their staff being very accommadating and clean because i got to stay in 2 different rooms 2 different nights i got to see it wasnt just oneroom, even the older "yet to be modeled" rooms are an excellent stay for the weary traveler. its no las vegas casino/hotel, but i was so appreciative and impressed with my stay for the amount of money.

Please heed this warning!!!! My group stayed at this "hotel" for a hunting trip. As you can imagine, we are hunters, we are not picky. We have stayed in local hotels literally all over the country. However, this place took the cake. This exciting adventure began with our group having to purchase our own toilet paper and take out our own trash. The room was NEVER cleaned. So, we just took on these tasks because we were just happy to be out and hunting. None of these were deal killers for me. What really tipped me over was the owner of the hotel revving up his motorcycle outside the rooms at 2 or 3 in the morning. Our group knew it was the owner, or a member of management, because he was who we asked to get towels on our first day as there were none in the room. Lastly, when we tried to check out at 930 am, the office was suppose to open at 9 am, we could not because no one was there. So we proceed over to the “Employee's Only” door only to get yelled at and still no one come out to help us. For lack of better adjectives, this place was a sewer and was ran and managed by people who do not appreciate the guests. If you are looking for just a roof and bed, get a tent, that way your expectations can’t be too high. One last thing, the high speed internet, wasn't so high speed. None of the 4 laptops we had could connect. But hey, we expected toilet paper as well.
