We were headed to Colorado and needed to stay somewhere. This hotel boasts of free internet if you have your own wifi card. My husband had trouble with the service off and on all night and morning. Also, the breakfast was ONLY waffles, which I was disappointed since I can only eat whole wheat items. Most of the other guests were gone by morning so this is mostly a stop through place. Actually I was impressed the place was overall pretty clean and the indoor entrances seemed more safe except someone propped open the back door with a rock. I'd rather stay somewhere else, but it's okay for a night of traveling through the area. The view behind the hotel is great, but you can't see it from any window! The neighborhood around it is a bit questionable in my opinion...I saw a lot of kids wandering around.

After 11 nights on the road this was the worse. This was the highest price we paid for a room on our trip. When I mentioned lack of shampoo in the room or even donuts for a continental breakfast, they informed me this was standard in the area. And if I had wanted shampoo, I could have picked it up in the office. After staying in rooms with an iron and ironing board, hair dryer, coffee maker, shampoo, lotion, continental breakfasts in the lobby that included coffe, tea, juice, rolls and fruit. Three had also included bagels, batter for fresh waffles, muffins, oatmeal, way more than expected. Upon leaving I reviewed a couple of travel guides, and every motel advertised for Rock Springs listed in room coffee, hairdryers,refrigerators & microwaves and continental breakfast, and were $10.00 cheaper. I guess we made a mistake. But that will never happen again in Rock Springs. We will not stay at the Motel 8 next year on our annual outing with our grandkids.
