We regretted our decision to stay here. We were on the second floor and facing west. The room was very warm and the A/C couldn't begin to cool the room. You couldn't open the window and floor felt and sounded like you might fall into the lobby below. I'm sure the room was clean but you wondered.
In the hallway the carpet was worn and loaded with dog hair which wasn't appealing . I would find somewhere else to stay next time.
As a side note, would go to Lander, Wy next time as its a lots neater, cleaner looking town and only about 20 miles to the west.

When I drove up to this motel, I was a bit apprehensive because it was an old building (1950s?) and I had visions of ancient furnishings and chipped bathroom furniture. But the welcome at the front desk was excellent, and when I saw the room I was delighted. Not the Sheraton, maybe, but it was modern and up to the best standards of Days Inn. Everything was clean and fresh, and the bathroom was modern too.

It has external corridors, a plus point for me, and it is a real sadness that hotel chains no longer build them. You are free to sit outside and ponder the view, even if it is only of a car park and a Sinclair gas station. It sits alongside a main road, and I was concerned that it would be noisy at night, but there was little traffic and the room was soundproofed. I slept so well that I missed breakfast, so cannot comment on it.

I always travel with my favorite pillow and I hate it when I leave it in the hotel room (which I've done more than once.) This hotel is the comfortable "Mom and Pop" spot that "aims to please" travelers like me, and they kept my pillow safely in their office until I could retrieve it. The owners are friendly; the rooms are clean; the beds are good; and the price is reasonable. I've stayed there a couple times and would return again.

Regardless of where I stay, my 3 most important evaluation criteria for lodging are: 1. Was I physically safe on the premises, 2). Was I physically comfortable on the premises, and 3). Would a reasonable person conclude I got what I paid for? (Why write about cold coffee, stale donuts, or poor WiFi, if you aren’t safe on the premises, wake with a sore back from a bad bed, or pay exorbitant price for lodging clearly not worth it?)

Riverton Days Inn handily meets my 3 criteria. This Days Inn changed managers a while back and change was needed as I had stayed there about 4 years ago. My disappointing stay then kept me from Riverton Days Inn for a long time.

When I arrive at a hotel/motel I immediately scrutinize it from the outside; the Riverton Days Inn outside premises were clean and well-kept. The flawless, pleasant check-in began a comfortable 2-day stay. Our room cost $89.00 USD per night including tax. Riverton Days Inn has external room entrances with coded key locks. I carefully looked at the door locks, in and out. All locks functioned property; looked and felt secure. The solid external doors had well-anchored security chains.

The spacious and clean rooms had 2 large and comfortable beds, which made for a good night's sleep. Our room was clean and well-kept with all appliances, lights, and television in good working order. The spotless bathroom was well cleaned and in quality condition. No leaking faucets, cracked or missing caulk, chipped tiles, or anything else in need of repair.

Our room did not smell of cigarettes, cleaning solvents, or mold. Clean carpets too. Our room had a coffee maker in good working order with fresh packaged ingredients.

Riverton Days Inn has a pleasant morning continental breakfast. All breakfast items were quality and fresh. Their breakfast area is modest in size and won’t accommodate many people at one time, but this isn’t a major drawback.

I did notice a PC available for guests in the lobby, but I did not use it.

A flawless check-out capped a pleasant and comfortable stay.

We were pleased with Riverton Days Inn; it met our safety, comfort and value criteria. It has our recommendation.
