We planned an overnight stay in Rawlins on our way west and were looking at various hotels when I read the reviews for the Ferris Mansion on TripAdvisor so decided to go for it! We are so glad we did and really enjoyed our overnight stop from check in to check out. The Mansion is delightful and our room was very nice with an extremely comfortable bed and bed linens, towels were also very soft. They offer complimentary wifi which was excellent. Kaye Marie was an excellent hostess and served a delicious home made breakfast. Would definitely recommend you stay here if your trip takes you through Rawlins, you won't be disappointed.

How could this place live up to the unanimous raves that other TripAdvisor reviewers have written? Well, it did.

We were en route from Toronto to California and our schedule put us in this part of Wyoming for a night. Based on the reviews, we chose to stay here rather than in Laramie or Cheyenne. The Ferris Mansion lived up to its ratings: a very friendly and helpful proprietor, who loved her old house and her role as our host. On top of that she served a great breakfast. We had a great night's sleep in the Gold room and will surely try to return when we are next driving this route.

While driving around through town, we spied an absolutely gorgeous house (think BIG and VICTORIAN!) a couple of years ago. Being great fans of that type of architecture, we stopped and took lots of pictures and talked to the man next door (owner of another wonderful turn of the last century house). The place was privately owned then, so you can imagine our delight when we learned that it had been returned to a Bed and Breakfast business!

I made reservations for our 10th wedding anniversary in September and we had a wonderful experience. The place is fabulously and comfortably furnished with some really spectacular key pieces of furniture including a 1928 baby grand player piano (of course, it works!) and a lavish bed in our room (the rose room).

The proprietress, Kaye-Marie, is enthusiastic, hospitable and very gracious. She gladly made dinner reservations for us, provided a DVD player for our wedding tape and an ice bucket for champagne for later. Breakfast was delicious and she took pictures for us, then she and her mother happily shared some wedding cake with us in the morning.

We look forward to staying here again, would heartily recommend it to anyone. We wish her and her family a long and prosperous run.

We stayed here after my wife found it on the internet. It was reasonably priced at $80 with the other hotels in the area but far from comparable. When you arrive the house is 3 stories on a corner lot, with a huge front porch and swing. The moment you walk in the front door you are warmly welcomed! A beautifully restored 1900's home filled with pictures of it's restoration and history! You have your choice of 4 rooms each with its own classic charm and color! We stayed in the lavender room. Immaculate, very quiet, and breakfast was incredible. Upon arrival you choose one of three breakfast times from 7:30-9:00am. Breakfast was home made and wonderful! This is a must stay! It was also one of the MOST comfortable beds we have slept on!! WiFi, cable, flat screen, and a great view just off the downtown shopping area, restaurants and the historic prison! We stayed on a business trip but will be back for pleasure! The owner is a riot full of history and facts that can only come from having lived here most of her life with her family!! NOT suited for handicap needs because of its historic build, sorry! Try the front porch swing! You will be back! We sure will
