Have stayed at 2 other's in Rawlins, which are much better.

No WIFI, TV cable connection was damaged and couldn't see most of the channels through the 'snow', and the room was really hot when I got there at 9pm because it was 90 degrees all day and the room fan & AC were off.

I booked this place through Hotwire, tried to cancel after seeing the other reviews here. Hotwire told me they had inspected it recently and was a two star.

First of all, they did reserve a non-smoking on the first floor for me. Most places you book through Hotwire, not willing to do that. So I appreciated that.

Property looks down on its heels, shabby. Room was outdated in decor, beds were very comfortable. Bathroom, more cleanish than clean. Needed a good, thourough cleaning, especially floor and shower. Plaster flaking in bathroom.

Was fairly quiet, nice cable channel selection. Appreciated the friendly service. Would give them a lower rating, but service was very friendly.

I am a young woman and I was moving across country by myself and my 3 cats. When I booked the reservation, the travelodge website claimed they charged a $5 pet fee, which seemed reasonable. I was amazed at the cost of the hotels throughout WY, but I didn't have much of a choice in what I paid, so $80 for this place seemed like about the best deal.

As I checked into the hotel I noticed a sign that said "$10 per pet". I was too exhausted from driving all day to argue this at the time so I didn't even mention I had 3 cats with me! There is no way I was going to pay them $30 when I expect ed to pay $5! The room I had was very inconvenient to get to I had to walk through several hallways and up and downstairs dragging pet carriers and my bags. I felt a little unsafe as it was later at night and most of the other patrons were single men. I just prayed that my car full of my belongings was not going to be broken into.

The only positive part of the room was that it was large and it had cable TV. Other than that it was quite disgusting. The carpet was stained, the sheets and blankets were very old and stained the towels were just as bad. It was just old and dirty. The pillows were pathetically flat and lumpy and the bed was very uncomfortable. I did not sleep well at all. The hallways smelled like cigarette smoke. There was also not much in the way of restaurants in the town, I ended up not evening eating that night. The owners which seemed to be a family were very unfriendly, not even a smile or awknowledgement of me. I did not feel welcome. Breakfast was a joke too. I would never stay here or at any other Travelodge again! I would recommend spending a few more dollars and stay at one of the better places in town if you can.

I should have known when I saw a "No Refund" sign that I should have inspected the room before handing over my credit card. Due to my ignorance despite having stayed in hotels all over the country during driving vacations for thousands of miles, I am still feeling dirty and embarrassed that I spent the night in such a gross and disgusting place. We were traveling with a clean 10 lb. toy poodle, but we were put into a filthy pet unit (unkown to us until I asked about the filth) and charged extra. The first room I walked into wreaked of urine, so I requested another room. I was simply put across the hall. The room did not wreak of urine; however, there were iron burns all over the filthy carpet, dirty soap scum left on shower shelves, burn marks on the sink (this was a non smoking room), bent towel shelves, a window broken screen, and the blankets smelled smokey. Then my children found a cigarette butt barely pushed under the bed. There were dog dropping left from pet owners right outside the back door of the building by which people had to step over as well as a group of local residents having a party in the parking lot for which the management did nothing. When we went down to the continental breakfast at 7:00 AM, it was dismal,anemic and unstocked of even basics like sugar and O.J. I have contacted corporate, but I am skeptical the independent owners of this franchise will do anything to clean it up. In 20 years of x-country road trips with my family, I have NEVER been in such an awful place having paid nearly $100 dollars for a room! Stay away from this one. Read similar reviews on hotel.com (I wish I had before we pulled in).
