Anvil Motel has the best rate in Jackson Hole and the web site listed this motel as "recently refurbished" so I went with this motel. Motel staff was okay and recommended me to go to an Italian restaurant around the corner for dinner, which was good. The room looked like a regular motel room. The sink and vanity appears to be recently installed. Other than that the walls, TV cabinet and the closet space doesn't look that "refurbished". The blanket appears to be slightly pilled (some fuzz balls). The bed sheet and the pillow cases got a few holes on them. The bed sinks in and gave me a backache the next morning. But other than that, it's a decent motel for budget travelers like myself. U can't beat its location though. Broadway (which is the main street in Jackson Hole) is only 2 blocks away. Very easy access to restaurants and shops.

My wife and I stayed at the Anvil Motel recently in Jackson Hole. Here are my thoughts:
TV reception terrible. We had to go elsewhere to watch the NBA playoffs.
Room is plain, but clean.
Microwave, fridge, hair dryer, amenities,
The sink outside of the toilet and shower. A good thing
Second floor is difficult to get to with heavy luggage.
One of the best locations in Jackson. You are walking distance to all the stores, shops and restaurants.

Worst possible place to stay was totally misrepresented on phone & charged almost three times the internet rate. . Room filthy, mattress ripped and stuffing hanging out, bedspreads soiled with large yellow stains, carpet filthy, flooring soft :& uneven, sink pulled out from wall when turning faucets on, toilet seat broken,electrical cords hanging from wall and much more. To top it off the clerk on the desk was rude. I could not ever recommend this motel to anyone.

We spent one night but inspected the room and beds first which the hotel clekr was happy to let us do. the room, thgouh average was an excellent value for the price, location, quality of the beds and refrig in room. We go often to JAckson but have stayed other palces not as good.
