If you can sleep anywhere and are dying to be close to the town square, this will work.
My issues? Thin window blind lets in loads of light. Heard every step and flush from the folks above and there are no lamps- just 2 sconces with bare bulb glare. Average mattress and cleanliness, though the bathroom smelled stale. About me- frequent business traveler though this is vacation. And the 2 employees I met acted annoyed.

We spent 2 nights at the Anvil. Our room was a little small, however it was very clean. How much time do you actually spend in the room anyways?!? Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location, you can walk to shops and attractions in town. I would surely stay here again and recommend it to others.

The staff went out of their way to help us with several things that we needed. The room was basic, but clean. Beds were comfortable -- which was needed after a week in the back country of Yellowstone. The location was great. We had a second story room, which was quiet, and enough off of the street to not hear the traffic. We are in the Yellowstone/Teton area every summer. We'll be back

I stayed at the El Rancho portion of this motel during a solo trip to Grand Teton NP. The motel room was of good quality... no real complaints... beds and bathroom clean, good internet service, and right in the middle of downtown Jackson. The place had a nice Italian restaurant on site (expensive, but good food). I was able to walk to several restaurants and shops in town. Onsite parking and friendly staff... they made pretty good coffee in the morning as well.

I originally chose the Anvil/El Rancho because it was the most economical place I could find in town. I rooms are reasonably priced for Jackson, but outside of that town, I would feel like I was paying a lot. But I believe all of Jackson is a bit expensive... you pay for the atmosphere out there.
