“Don't be scared by the name. It's not bad at all!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 August 2010

This was a great last minute opportunity for my husband and I after at 35 mile backcountry hike in YNP. The location is central to everything the rooms were clean and had more amenities than most other places we stayed (fridge, coffee, flatscreen). The service was pleasant and the rooms were airy. Bed was very comfortable and I have no complaints. I'd stay here again. With the AAA rate is was around 130.

“great hotel -- excellent value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2010

Rawhide is wonderfully located and priced. Our room was great -- two queen beds and lots of space. Shower was good; A/C good. We asked for little from manager/concierge, but we aren't demanding people. We just wanted a clean, spacious, comfortable room with a good price, to which to return after a day of hiking in the Tetons. Each day the room was made-up professionally and completely. I will admit that the hotel's popularity to Harley Davidson folks was a bit worrisome when we first arrived; but it turns out that H-D folks are quiet and polite and friendly (unlike their motorcycles). One or two nights we were accosted by some extremely loud music outside from about 11pm-2am, from some local club. Subsequently we closed the windows and used the a/c. When you're downtown in any city you're going to get some noise, and if it's not a rock club it's a fire station or drunken frat boys. No reason to avoid the hotel. No breakfast, but walk a half block to the Pearl st. bagelry (amazing coffee and scene) or two blocks further to cafes/restaurants. If you go to Jackson in the next few months make sure to eat at Teton Thai!!

“Average motel in an overpriced town”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2009

We were staying one night in Jackson and reserved at the Rawhide because it seemed the only place with availability. Payed about $130 for a 2-queen room. We didn't have a choice because really the town was booked out. The motel is okay but nothing special. The front desk woman was very inpollite. When asking for a restaurant she told us that probably for our budget McDonald's would be the only option. I wouldn't stay here again. If you visit Jackson, book early and look for a cheaper motel.

“Rawhide very convienient for everything”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2009

Jackson is a very expensive place to stay, and as we were on holiday for five weeks I tried to find the best deals possible. We paid a total of $546 at Rawhide for four nights which was the best I could find at the time of booking ( in June ) I was pleasantly surprised. Our room was on the upper section, and was a good size, nicely furnished, with a big flat screen TV, two large beds, plus a usefull fridge. It was all very clean and tidy and nice toiletries provided.
The location was just the best as it is within walking distance of the town sq, visitor centre, shops and resteraunts, yet, being off the main highway, it was quiet at night and you park right outside in hotel parking lot. The hotel also provides a gas BBQ for you to cook your own dinner if you want. A short drive out of town, past the Virginian, Mc Donalds and Pizza Hut there is an Albertsons, where you can buy everything for a BBQ plus liquor store, as in Utah one cannot buy anything other than beer in the supermarket, and we like a glas of wine.
I agree with others, that the website is not great, and I had to phone from England to make the booking. Apart from this I was delighted with the Rawhide, and would certaily re book there when visiting Jackson again.

“Nice place, great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2009

I was pleasantly surprised by the Rawhide Motel. I wasn't quite sure what to expect because reviews were limited and their website isn't the greatest. We were greeted promptly with our room keys and reservation form. Overall, no frills, friendly service, clean, easy walking distance to the square, restaurants, with shops all around the motel....and a wine bar next door! Room 23 is a corner room that has a little table and chairs out front. Not exactly a patio but a nice place to congregate when you're waiting for the rest of your travel buddies to get ready. In general, expect lots of motorcycle sounds, but this is pretty much true throughout the area and keep your expectations in the "motel" state of mind.
