Jackson is a very expensive place to stay, and as we were on holiday for five weeks I tried to find the best deals possible. We paid a total of $546 at Rawhide for four nights which was the best I could find at the time of booking ( in June ) I was pleasantly surprised. Our room was on the upper section, and was a good size, nicely furnished, with a big flat screen TV, two large beds, plus a usefull fridge. It was all very clean and tidy and nice toiletries provided.
The location was just the best as it is within walking distance of the town sq, visitor centre, shops and resteraunts, yet, being off the main highway, it was quiet at night and you park right outside in hotel parking lot. The hotel also provides a gas BBQ for you to cook your own dinner if you want. A short drive out of town, past the Virginian, Mc Donalds and Pizza Hut there is an Albertsons, where you can buy everything for a BBQ plus liquor store, as in Utah one cannot buy anything other than beer in the supermarket, and we like a glas of wine.
I agree with others, that the website is not great, and I had to phone from England to make the booking. Apart from this I was delighted with the Rawhide, and would certaily re book there when visiting Jackson again.
