“Great Snowcoach Tour of Yellowstone”

Our family had a wonderful time on the snowcoach tour of Yellowstone National Park and Old Faithful. Our Goosewing Ranch guide, Christian, was terrific and very knowledgeable. He showed us many sites and was great with the kids. We really appreciated his knowledge of the park and felt safe traveling with him.

We got to see Old Faithful and many other sites within the park. It was amazing seeing the hot springs and the herd of bison.

It is not everyday we get out west. So it was certainly an wonderful experience to see Yellowstone National Park and the many wonders it holds within its borders. We really appreciated the quality tour.

“Two Great Trips--Snowcoach and Snowmobile”

Our family booked two trips with Goosewing. We spent a day in Yellowstone on a snowcoach tour with Dwayne. He was a knowledgeable guide who did a great job of teaching us about all the amazing things that we saw that day. He had a knack for putting us in the right spots for some wonderful pictures. From sun-up to sundown, we had a great experience! Later in the week, Chris took us on a half-day snowmobile tour through the Gros Ventre area. He was an expert at spotting wildlife along the way. Both guides were experienced and they treated us to experiences that we'll always remember.

“Goosewing exceeded all expectations!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2010

We had the most wonderful week-long vacation at Goosewing Ranch this summer! Our 6 and 8 year olds had a fantastic time with the horses and all the great activities at the ranch. The staff was superbly attentive, the food was delish, and the setting -- spectacular! None of us had ever ridden horses before, so it was a completely new experience for our family. The wranglers were so great and helped us all to get really comfortable on horseback in such a short time. We can't wait to go back! An added bonus for us was all the interesting people that we met from around the globe. We loved the family-style, guest ranch setup.

One tip for prospective visitors - the road to Goosewing Ranch is very long, and very... rough. We had a scary drive after a rain, with the road being soft and slippery. Next time, we will skip the rental car and have someone from the Ranch pick us up at the airport. That's the only thing I would do differently. Otherwise, it was a spectacular vacation!

“A dude ranch with something for everyone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2010

My daughter and her husband, their two boys aged 9 and 6 and I recently spent three days at The Goosewing Ranch. Having never been to a "dude" ranch before, none of us really had a clear idea of what was in store for us aside from the obvious horse centric activities. Actually my son-in-law had experienced several really bad horse riding events before and was none too enthusiastic at first about getting back up on one.
After what seemed like an interminable drive over a less than perfect road surface (to be honest, we had been warned and were thus not too ruffled by the experience although mighty happy to finally get there) we arrived at the ranch, given a brief introductory spiel and sent to our cabins which wee perched on a rise overlooking a beautiful green pasture and hills.
The cabins were clean, comfortable, spacious and decorated in what I guess is cowboy/wrangler decor which was actually cozy and not kitschy. Gas fireplaces were there but we never needed them.
The personnel were uniformly polite, friendly, informative and very accommodating to our various riding skills. Horses were chosen for us depending on our experience and the trail rides we did were expertly guided , the lunch they packed for us was fine, the scenery was spectacular...so much so that we all opted to go again the next day. I chose to be a little more adventurous the second day, craving more speed and excitement and boy, did I get that in spades. A totally exhilarating experience. And yes, there IS a hot tub!
Additionally we were given the opportunity to learn grooming and caring for our horses and my grand kids developed quite a bond with their mounts.
In addition to riding, there were archery lessons one night, rifle target shooting another, kickball games, swimming, cocktails and hors d' oeuvres by the pool. There was never a dull moment if one wanted to participate. The good news is that no one HAD to.
The lodge was wonderful, the food was really good, the ambiance was welcoming and not at all intimidating. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and accommodate our requests and we left feeling that we had made some new friends and learned a bit about a way of life very foreign to us as urban dwellers.
I cannot recommend this place more highly.

“Cowboys R - US in Wyoming Wilderness”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2010

Fantastic 4 night stay at Goosewing. The journey there is adventure in itself... just 1.5 hours from Jackson. Great scenery tones of wildlife coyotes, wolves, bison, moose and bald eagles spotted. This was our first time on horse back and the wranglers were great. Most days our family had a wrangler to ourselves. DH enjoyed daily fly fishing in the Gros Ventre river which flows through the ranch. Kids enjoyed the daily activities which included archery, shooting, horse games. Cabins were private and more than comfortable. Food was plentiful and the company was great. This is a very well run, high quality guest ranch in true Wyoming wilderness.
