One step below the Motel 6 in town. We live a few miles outside of Jackson and wanted a place for the evening of a Christmas party. Room is clean, with very little accoutrements. Bedding is spartan, beds okay, towels thin. Wireless internet very poor in the room. The lights above the beds are controlled by a wall switch by the door, quite inconvenient. As it is winter we can feel the cold air coming thru the edge of the door, and the deadbolt is misaligned with the frame so it will not lock properly.

We understand this is a bargain basement type of place, but we've also stayed at the Motel 6 in town and it is a better value for slightly better rooms, plus they are more conveniently located to the town of Jackson.

Front desk person friendly, grounds okay.

We had the pleasure of staying at Flat Creek for two nights. Carl and Ann were so friendly and accommodating. We visited Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. Best vacation ever. Carl and Ann treated us with such warm, southern hospitality, as southerners, we felt were home. Thank you both for making our vacation one that we will never forget.

I stayed at this dump 2 nights, and only because it was the only motel with a room available. I now know why. The room was filthy. It had carpet stains, a filthy bath & bath sink. The plumbing pipes in the walls clattered everytime someone would use water in their room. I was not able to sleep either night because of the noisey pipes. The second night I stayed I finally got up at 4:00am because of the noisey pipes. While showering before leaving the warm water turned cold & remained at that temperature. I was unable to report any problems about the room because the staff is there only from 8:00am to 10:00pm, hours which I was away & busy with the Museum's art show. When I arrived home I did call the motel and expressed my complaint. I was told by the clerk that the manager would call me back on Monday. I never received a call from anyone from the motel. I called the motel again 5 days later. The "assistant manager" would not allow me to talk to the manager, and explained that they were not going to compensate me for this disasterous stay because I didn't report the problem. I explained that no one was there to report the problem to until 8:00am, and that I had left the motel at 4:30am. She still refused compensation. I would camp out in my vehicle before I would ever stay at this place again!

We were most disappointed in our recent stay and tried to express so to the staff but were told that that they were not over priced for the area and did not know the carpet was filthy nor interested in what we said. My husband and I could not walk on the carpet without shoes because it was so unclean and found dead bugs on the bathroom counters. There was a coffee pot but no coffee and no cups. When asked about the time of the advertised breakfast we were told it wasn't served during September. If it had not been so late, we would have demanded our money back. Out of a 2 week vacation in the western states, it was the most disappointing of our experiences. I can not reccomend this property.
