Don't be fooled by the location on the address, this hotel is close to Casper and worked out perfectly for our activities in Casper. Make sure you aren't looking to visit Evanston, WY---this is Evansville, on the outskirts of Casper, WY.
Made our reservation on the hotel's web site---used the "internet users" discount and did better than any other web site/discount. Be sure to watch also which hotel is most expensive---the Sleep Inn's rates were more expensive than the Comfort in the same town and it had less amenities for our family.
We had 4 people (2 kids and 2 adults) in our group, so booked the 2 queen bed room.
Check in was smooth with one of the most friendly front desk clerks I have encountered in a long time---very informative and helpful on dining, directions, etc. Great employee! We checked in at 7pm and our room was ready to go. Most of the non-smoking rooms were upstairs (which is what we requested), so if you want downstairs non-smoking, be sure to request it. The room was very clean, linens new looking and large size room. We took in our luggage, then went to dinner.
The IHOP next door is closest--but it isn't a 24 hour IHOP. Service was slow, friendly, but slow. It is a brand new restaurant and staff quite new as well. Food was good, typical IHOP cuisine.
Returned to the hotel and made our way down to the pool. It is an indoor pool, but quite small. Not too deep, the kids loved it, great play pool! Not good for lap swimming as it just isn't that long. The hot tub was wonderful---really just what we needed after a long day on the road.
Continental Breakfast the next morning was typical fare--muffins, donuts, cereal, etc. The area was kept well stocked and clean as people ate and went on their way.
Staff was excellent, room exceptionally clean and a great value for the room! :) We would stay here again, and are planning on doing so next time we are in the area.
