This was only my 4th B&B and based on the great reviews on this site, I decided to give it a go. The house is located on top of a hill with a great view of Cheyenne. The room was extremely clean and well decorated. The price was reasonable and Jan was very kind to give us our picture in her farewell gift bag.
We stayed on a Saturday night and I was surprised to find out after returning from town that everyone in the house was sleeping or in their tiny rooms by 9pm. I was also surprised to see that the hostess had come into our room (after she had given us our key) to turn down the bed and had moved our suitcases. Since the house was dark and quiet at 9, we made ourselves to home in the living room watching tv. I had thought the living room was a guest common area, only to find out later (11pm) when the hostess got up that maybe it wasn't.
The breakfast was very good, but I felt like I was at "mom's house" (the hosts sit at the table with you) and like mom, I was made to feel that I had to eat more and clean my plate. BTW, If you are diabetic, you should let Jan know since the food is very rich.
Overall, it was an experience that I won't forget. It gave us something to talk about for days while we were driving. I don't think that I will be back, but if you like living at "mom's house", going to bed early, and eating lots of "decadent" food, then this is the place for you.
