“Decent Stopover - but Pet Owners Call Ahead!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2009

Doing a cross-country drive with spouse and dog - you don't have a lot of choices in northern WY. The hotel claimed to allow pets, but when I got there I was told that they don't allow pets in king rooms. I was forced to take a two queens instead. There is a $10 pet fee. I would make sure you can get what you want by calling the hotel itself prior to booking. The hotel is a little beat up, but fine overall. The bed was comfortable enough. I chose not to use the basic continental breakfast because I wanted something hot.

“Great Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2009

We stayed for one night. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The pool was nice, but the hot tub had a lot of foam floating on the top. That always seems dirty to me. The breakfast was good, overall a positive experience.

“Clean, Quiet and AWESOME exercise equipment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2008

We were very happy with this hotel....kids AND the adults! THis was just an overnight stay on the way out to Thermopolis, WY and Cody, but I'm sure glad we stopped. I orginally had booked a Best Western room, but based on online reviews, I made the switch to this Comfort Inn and I'm sure glad I did! The bathroom was huge and very modern. The room was very clean and believe me, you won't find many much pickier than me... I used to work in the hotel business....housekeeping, laundry and front desk! So, I know the hotel business.

The whirlpool was a genuine whirlpool...it actually whirled!! The strong jets felt great on a sore back. My husband didn't get in it the night we checked in, but I made sure I got him up earlier to check it out the next morning. The pool was a nice size and a nice temperature, too, but I do like a pretty cold pool, so some might not like it as much as me.

The exercise room had very modern, new equipment, including a weight machine and that is unusual as most often you get only the cardio machines. There was extra floor space in front of the machines for me to do my range of motion and streching routine.

The continental breakfast was the typical juice, muffins, cold cereal, etc., but they also have waffles and hard boiled eggs. It was so nice to not have to eat up in the room as they actually had a large (and also CLEAN) breakfast area.

Service at the desk was fine. The clerk also recommended a GREAT dining option that was family friendly and just a two minute walk from the hotel Don't miss the Bozeman Trail Steakhouse..

I give this hotel two thumbs way up!

  • Liked — The great whirlpool and huge, modern bathroom. Toss up.
  • Disliked — Views from the room....Just parking lot and highway.

“Excellent overnight stopover”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 July 2008

Rapid City to Yellowstone looked to be a bit of a stretch so we chose to stopover at the Comfort Inn which was an excellent choice. Alan on the front desk was really welcoming and took time and trouble to point out a closeby walking trail and a great diner suggestion. We found a very high standard throughout and am surprised at the criticisms of another reviewer, they just don't tally with our experience here.
