We have just returned from another great Memorial weekend of camping at Sherwood Forest campgound. Sherwood is now under new ownership and they are doing a great job. We have always loved camping here but the new owners are doing a wonderful job updating this campground. They now have a new outdoor movie theater with concessions, a new covered pavilion where they do craft projects with kids on the weekends. They now have some themed weekends which are listed on there website. We where also told they are going to have hayrides but they where not up and running while we where there. They have a really nice heated swimming pool, game room, 2 parks, volleyball, horseshoes, badmitton & a basketball court. They have 2 nice bathrooms/shower houses. The sites are all very nice and spacious but we do favor the sites closer to the pool. these sites seem to be a bit larger than the ones up the hill. One of our favorite things about this campground is that you can easily walk into town from the campground. The staff at Sherwood was very friendly and outgoing and they even stopped at our campsite to ask our kids what movie they wanted to see on the outdoor movie theater that night. We will for sure be camping at Sherwood again. Sherwood Campground is our choice for our annual Memorial weekend camping trip!!

The Gentleman in charge the night we pulled in was very helpful (Jeff or John). We had reservations but after seeing the size of our camper he knew right where to put us that would be more suited for us. He knew the true meaning of customer service. The campground was in great shape. Bathrooms were pretty well kept for the amount of people that were camping there. Nice location from town and for three days Jeff (?) was very helpful on his watch. Keep up the good work!

This was our first time at Sherwood Forest and we were very satisfied with our stay. We were happy to get the free Mt. Olympus tickets and we also thought the bathrooms and showers were in pretty good condition and kept pretty clean. The sites are a bit small but for a fun weekend to have a place to stay that's nice and close to the parks and everything else is a definite plus. The sites at least had some trees for some much needed shade. We will definitely be going back again. We camped in a tent.

Stayed over Wo-Zah-Wa weekend and were pleasently surprised with the primitive sites for a campground so close to downtown. Staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. I would question the three block walk to downtown as it seemed a bit further than that, but still worth it to leave your car at the campground so not to fight with traffic. Would stay there again if in the area.
