We went to Sherwood Forest Labor Day weekend. The weather did not cooperate with us at all. It rained all days, however the staff in the office was super friendly and kind each time we stopped in to check the weather. Our internet service was super slow and couldn't keep up with the radar map. The pool and sprinkler park were super clean and the kids loved them both. We used the bathrooms near the office and found them to be in good working order. We are interested to see the bathrooms on the top of the hill since we heard they are super nice!! Way above camping standards. Our site was muddy/sandy--- however, end of the camping season and the weather didn't help to dry it out. We did hear trains during the day/night, but no expressway traffice!!! Overall, very nice campground and we can't wait to go back next summer.

We stayed in the park rental trailer. It was clean & relatively well kept for it's age & the amount of use it must get. Slept 6 comfortably (2 singles (bunked), one double in a curtained off 'room', sofa that converted to bed plus table that converted to bed). Camper-style bathroom in trailer with toilet & shower. Stove/oven that we didn't use. Microwave & fridge worked great. Lots of storage space.

We had a problem with toilet water overflowing when camp staff was emptying it. I let them know at desk & they came up & cleaned it all up while we were downtown.

Showers in campground bathhouse were a little weird - would only stay on as long as you held the button down, so had to shower one-handed. Water was nice & warm, though.

Kids loved the pool, splash-pad and playgrounds.

Easy walk to all the cheesy fun in downtown area.

We recently made our first visit to Sherwood Forest campground. The location is excellent (near downtown), the sites were nicely spaced, and the store was well stocked with supplies. We really liked that they had security guards wandering to keep things family oriented. The campground was very enjoyable & well maintained. Bathrooms were very clean! Our children attended the outdoor movie. The new pool just opened (unfortunately they added dirt around the pool and it smelled strongly of manure). The pool was nice but a bit chilly (Wisconsin in June is not the warmest), the kids swam. The splash pad was cute but not opened yet. wifi was a bit slow - maybe it was us? I really liked this campground and plan to return.

We camped for 5 days at Sherwood Forest. We camped here a few years back and enjoyed it then too. The sites are large enough so you are not on top of your neighbor. They are dirt sites - no concrete pad. The restroom and showers were clean. We stay over Memorial Day weekend so it was busy. The camp store is well stocked. We would recommend this campground based on the friendly hosts, clean facilities, pool, and location.
