If you are used to camping in state/provincial parks with big private sites, lots of tree's, outdoor sceneary, and a generally peaceful quiet atmosphere....this place is NOT for you.
We stayed in a tent site at Bonanza that was literally 5 feet from the next site. It was almost like a group site. No privacy at ALL. The entire tent site was on a slope as well, so our picnic table and tent were downhill. Our site had about 5 ant-hills, so their were ants all over our tent and picnic table. I understand that you are in the outdoors, but this was a little extreme for ants. The site was also littered with beer bottle caps, and other random trash in the back part of the site....ie: Granola bar raper, kleenex, hair band...
As far as noise levels at night, their were parties going on in almost every site around us until all hours of the night. They said they enforce quiet times, but I didnt see any evidence of that at all.
The showers were DISGUSTING. Mine was clogged with hair, so it wasnt draining. You have to pay for the showers, which is fine if they are maintained, ..but I felt dirtier after showering in them. The bathrooms were not clean. The trash in the stall I was in was over-flowing with "feminine waste products". Their was also clumps of hair and an empty tube of toothpaste just sitting on the sink. Gross.
The mini golf course was a joke. It was really over-grown and dirty and the greens had TONS of bird poop all over them.
The ONE thing nice about this campground was how close it is to everything. You are 10 min walk to Noah's Ark, and Mt Olympus is right across the street. You dont have to drive and fight traffic or parking. But, I still would not stay at this campground again. Next time we are going to stay in a state park near-by OR a hotel. Would not recommend this campground to anyone.
