not the clean modern shower facilities described on their site by any means. Dirty shower block. cigarette butts over our campsite. Great location but that is all it has going for it.

Based on the reviews, we were not expecting much. Yes, this is an older RV park and is not comparable to a state campground. However, the location exceeded our expectations -- right on the Wis Dells Pkway, across the street from Mt. Olympus Waterpark, and 1/2 block from the Original Wisconsin Ducks. We were assigned spot #1, right next to the pool and office/store, but with the A/C or fan on in our RV, we didn't hear any outdoor noise. And even though our "green space" was about the same size as our concrete parking pad, there was enough room for a picnic table and fire ring. We enjoyed a cozy dinner and campfire our first night there, and the owners came and delivered the wood right to our site! We used the bathrooms right next to the office and the pool, and they were perfectly acceptable -- one of the toilets was not flushing, but within minutes of my alerting the office of the problem, they fixed it. They were offering free admission to Chula Vista's waterpark, which for our family of 5 is a huge savings and well worth the 15 minute drive!

If people are willing to "rough it", just a little (we are in a campground in a tourist destination, after all), and if people can take a minute to clean up after themselves and be respectful of their fellow campers, it is a pleasant. convenient and economical way to enjoy the Dells!

We actually left a day early because of the noise at this campground! The quiet hours were not enforced and we got no sleep. People were putting as many as 5-6 tents on a one-tent site so they could all party together and nothing was done about it. The owners admitted they were trying to deal with the problem and had the police there three times and yet it continued. How many times does a group need to be warned? So instead we were the ones who had to leave and we were the quiet, rule-abiding group...oh, and no refund for our early departure either! The sites are literally on top of each other and the mini golf course is a joke. The pool was ok and the location to major attractions was good. That's the only reason I am giving this a "poor" rating instead of a "terrible" rating. Will never go back there again!

I disagree with some of the reviews on here. We have stayed at Bonanza a5 times in the past two years. We also stayed at Sherwood Forest once when they were full. Yes the sites are close together but you're right in the heart of the Dells. Do you really expect them to give you a 1/2 acre with the property values like they are in the Dells? You really don't go to the Dells for Peace. It's like going to Vegas to relax! I thought we were much more packed in at Sherwood Forest. Also if you go on a busy weekend in July then you should also expect to have crowded bathrooms etc and not complain about it. If you want luxury why are you camping? The office staff are wonderful! They have helped us fix our a/c in our camper. They try to keep things quiet but can you expect them to stay up all night and monitor? We did have an incident where our firewood was stolen, they tracked down the teenagers who took it, made them buy us twice as much firewood, and then kicked them out of the park! Oh and made them formally apologize to us. Also if you choose to save $5 and camp in a primative site with only port a pottys then you shouldn't complain. I would reccomend reserving a site near the restrooms and it all works out very well! Also if in an electric site you can run a fan and you will drown out any noise. I think the people complaining on here should'nt be camping in the heart of the Dells! We love hearing the roar of the roller coasters and the people having fun!
