“Relaxing, Romantic Weekend Minutes Away from Cascade Mountain”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 February 2011

We stayed at the quaint Antiques and Lace Inn over Valentine's Day weekend 2011 and absolutely loved it. The Royalty Suite was beautiful; a fire was crackling when we arrived. The room just felt cozy right when we entered it---exactly how a B&B should feel. The two-person heart-shaped whirlpool was a relaxing start to the weekend.

Kisha, the innkeeper, made delicious breakfast both mornings that fueled us up for a long day of skiing. She was so friendly and made us feel right at home in this gorgeous country house. She even made us heart-shaped blueberry waffles Sunday morning.

I would recommend Antiques and Lace to anybody looking for a quiet stay in the country, and close accommodations to skiing. Perfect for a romantic getaway.

As a tip, bring your GPS if you're not familiar with the back roads. We drove in initially at night and the roads are dark and not well-marked.

“Relaxing - Felt lik Visiting Family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 April 2010

What a great two-day escape from the rat-race of the city. The owner, Kisha, made us feel like we were visiting family. The breakfast was great, the rooms were wonderful and most of all, it was quiet and relaxing. One of the best B&Bs we've stayed at. Bob Bowen 4/2/10

“We really connected on our quiet, rejuvenating getaway.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2010

We decided to book two nights at Antiques and Lace to celebrate our anniversary weekend. The setting is serene, out in the country, just far enough from the Dells' kitsch and glitter that you forget where you are. We stayed in the Royalty Suite--the interior decorating was beautiful! They have since redone the wallpaper. There were no TV's in the room, which was absolutely fine by us. The bedroom doors did not have locks on them; we're from Milwaukee, so we were wary of the ultra-low security. To our pleasure, our belongings remained untouched and safe. We were impressed when the owners warned us the jacuzzi had been acting up, and gave us their cell phone number in case the jacuzzi would not turn on or off, even though they were going out for a night on the town. Breakfast was delicious, tasty, and original. We saw deer playing and grazing in the yard, and overall we especially enjoyed our time here.

“Relaxing in the Country”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2009

This was our 2nd stay at A & L. Our first stay was top rate. It was in the summer, and we enjoyed the paddle boat in the backyard pond. We also biked on the quiet country roads. The scenery is pretty. Breakfast was good, rooms beautiful. Overall it was just what we were looking for.

Our stay just now was pretty good. The room was beautiful, and the amenities for the price are impressive (fridge, fireplace, jacuzzi for $120/night). However, we also experienced problems with heat. The first night we woke up because we were so cold, and the second night we woke up because we were too hot...which took away from it feeling like a restful experience. I think they have hard water and it has stained the tub by the jets, but the room and tub were clean. We had plenty of hot water. As for the ladybugs...this place is in the country. In fact, during our firs stay we really enjoyed sitting on the wrap around porch and listening to the crickets.

I'd give it an A+ in the sumer and a B in the winter.
