“Awesome! Will be back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2011

We stayed there for my finaces birthday in a 2 night 3 day getaway. The room was amazing as we had additional guests so we got a two room suite. The view was spectacular. We got to go out on canoes and paddle boats the whole day and at night got to have a camp fire and sit on the lake and look at the stars along with a family of ducks that joined us on the lake the whole vacation :-). The sleeping was very quiet and peaceful and it is at the right location. Right on the lake, away from the crowds, but close the the attractions. Will stay there again for our honeymoon!

“Great place for kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2010

Cable tv, internet, 2 Playgrounds, 3 pools, sauna, pedal boats, canoes and grilling on the premises. We had a great stay there and I highly recommend it. It's close to downtown Dells and all the other fun stuff.

“Nice, but overpriced. I Would not classify as resort.”

Room - Very clean, clean bathroom. Two queen beds with a wall between them. Outdoor balcony to hang towels and swimwear. Beds were comfortable. Room had a microwave and a larger room refrigerator. Room was always cleaned very well by the cleaning staff.
Grounds- Grounds were nice with 2 playgrounds, picnic tables and charcoal grills available. There was sand on the property that lead to Lake Delton, but I would not classify it as a sandy beach, such as found in Florida and elsewhere, but then again this is a lake and not ocean front.
Pools- Large pool outside, plenty of chairs, outside hot tube and smaller kiddie pool.
All clean. Indoor pool was nice, but since the weather was nice, we mostly stayed outside. There was also a hot tube inside. Again all very clean with plenty of chairs by the pool.
Staff- There is definitively a language barrier, which I could see as being perceived as rude. It appeared the owners lived on the property. I also noticed there were a large number of guests who did not speak English as a first language, maybe because they felt more comfortable speaking to the owners in their language. I don't know, just a guess. Cleaning people were quick and through. I even saw them using Softscrub to clean the hallway walls.
WiFi is available, but it is WEP encrypted and I had a had time connecting, but eventually got it working. There are no in room coffee makers and the lobby coffee maker is located in the office, which is locked until 8am. Big minus since my wife and I are early risers AND big coffee drinkers. We already had water park passes, so that wasn't an issue for us, however it was not offered at time of check in, so I am not sure how that would have affected the total bill.
Summary- There are a lot of nice things about this place, cleanliness, close proximity to the attractions, pool, location on the lake and the grounds. However, with many of the other hotels offering a lower room price with a water park pass, I would be hard pressed to recommend this hotel at the price we paid. To be fair, this was a last minute deal and we were desperate for a place to stay, so we were in no position to negotiate a deal.

“HMMMM....”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 July 2010

We have stayed at this hotel several times, we choose it because it is by the lake, this year will be our last time staying there, confusion with booking the rooms, like the other reviews, hard to communicate with staff and yes they are very rude, we accidentally locked our self out of one room and I had to ask for a key to get back in and the lady at the front desk was completely rude about it, like it was such a huge inconvenience, if they would move into the 2000's and update some stuff they wouldn't have to have the old fashion keys to get in. We stay in the separate side rooms of the resort that are apart from the actual hotel rooms. While we love that it is on the lake and that is why we went back again, they have to update their rooms. And for what we paid for the rooms, you think they could fix some things up, we spent good money their for the 4 rooms we got. The gold shower liner (not even a curtain) was moldy, their was obviously a past leak in one of the rooms as you can see the big huge stains in the carpet, it smelled like mold, I agree with the past reviews, no toiletries, no pool towels and the towels they give you in the room would dry off maybe my left leg, they were so tiny. The only thing I will give them is that they do keep the outside very clean. Update the place and get a little bit more friendly and you would probably get alot more business.

We are definately going to be doing some research for a new place to stay next year.

“Weird”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2009

Well it was kinda weird , the place looked very new but I really couldnt tell maybe it just had a makeover. Something just wasnt right. My husband didnt want to stay but I talked him into it. The room was 73.00 for the best room the women spoke very broken english and I had a hard time understanding her. I asked about a boat she sent me down to the most expensive place and I went a little further and found one for half the price I think it was called shealer bait shop or something like that. We took a pontoon out for a couple hours and it was nice and quiet. heres the other really weird thing... We pretty much had the place to ourselves except for 5 guys and 1 women that were drinking down by the pool. I believe they were Russian and had Illinois plates. They parked there car by the pool and blasted there hip hop music. Something was not right about the whole thing, it made my husband uneasy and he didnt like staying there. One of them came and talked to us when we were in the hottub, he seemed to be sent over to find out what we were doing there. There was more things that went on to creep us out but it seemed like a nice place, nice view, nice price they just need to rid themsleves of the russian mobsters.
