Just got home. There was not one thing to complain about. Great value for the money. Great water slides. Theme park addition was very reasonable at $10 for kids and $20 for over age six. You get your moneys worth. You can take food in to your room and eat your meals in if you want. We ate at one restaurant and it was good and the same price as if we were eating out at home. We will go back.

This would mark our second time staying here. It was for a family weekend getaway, and just like last time the kids had a blast. Waterpark is very nice, hotel is magnificent in its' own right, and the rooms are spacious.
We travelled with the three kids, as well as Grandpa and Grandma - so we had a family suite. The room was clean for the most part (actually cleaner than when we visited there two years ago). The furnishings, though, have taken a beating over the years - and even though they are newer furniture pieces, you can tell they are in a hotel that is swarming with kids (some of the pieces are pretty beat up).
If you have kids, be sure to check out the restaurant located just past the check in desk. They offer a "kids eat free" type of program during the lunch hour on certain days of the week - and you can feed the family a nicer sit down meal for the same price as eating pizza and chicken fingers from the snack bar (plus get free drink refills)! The kids also love the free cookie decorating snack in the afternoons that the resort offers. Grat time for the kids!

We have tried most of the water parks at the Dells but this continues to be our favorite and now that they are serving gluten free items in the restaurants, it is definitely our favorite. We most appreciate that there are gluten free options (hamburgers, chicken and pizza for example) available in the water park grill, so we can bring these out to eat in the water park as everyone does with their gluten items. The kids really liked the pizza, which is reasonably priced but they charge extra for gluten free burgers and chicken, even though they don't come with a bun. I guess it is for extra work to cook it special. Still, we are happy we even have an option. I hope the other water parks follow Kalahari's lead. Rooms are clean and quiet and they always have activities for the kids, plus there is a connecting area with a climbing wall, laser tag, and lots of other activities that cost extra but are a fun option if you need a break from the water.

The water park was great, kids really had a blast but what was the best surprise of all is that they offered Gluten Free pizza at the water-park restaurant. My son who is only 4 was so happy to hear that he finally could have a pizza b/c it needed to be gluten free. Thanks Kalahari Resort you made our day even better.
