“I didn't feel especially safe.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2010

I stayed one night at this hotel. The room was very small and the bed very uncomfortable. It was reasonably clean. What bothered me was that the side door to the hotel that faced the parking area didn't close and therefore didn't lock so anyone could come in/out without a keycard. The rate was pretty low but look out for their cancellation policy. It's not the day of the reservation but the day before and they charged me for the room the day before I checked in.

“A frustrating experience with handicapped room...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2010

We were just looking for a handicapped room for my mother while traveling through the area. My sister booked a "hamdicapped" room by calling the motel directly. When my mother and I arrived we found a small bathroom with a standard toilet with one grab bar on the left side, no grab bars or seat in the shower/tub. After checking that they might have given us the wrong room and complaining about the lack of handicapped amenities I was told that the manager would call me. About 30 minutes later she did and I expreessed that I was "appalled" that they could call this a handicapped room. I was told that they had passed Wisconsin's inspection for this... I continued to complain but as we had little chance of finding another motel room there wasn't much else I could do. To the manager's credit, as I was leaving to go pick up some dinner, I was told that the management was doing some shopping and would be there later to install some suction cup grab bars, a shower seat, and a toilet insert. I did appreciate their efforts but I still think if they are booking a handicapped room then it should have had those items already in place... or we should have been informed at the time the reservation was placed that the amenities were very limited.

“FILTHY, UNPROFESSIONAL and EVERYTHING BROKEN! FALSE ADVERTISING”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2010

STAY AWAY from this motel. First off the night staff is RUDE, IGNORANT and UNPROFESSIONAL and her MANAGER is the same exact duplicate. She was even worst. BLOOD all over the sheets when we checked in and the manager was informed and they NEVER replaced the sheets. A/C was completely filthy and caked up with dust and grime and NEVER worked. Sink was clogged since day 1, shower handles fell apart and you could not adjust the water. Either burning hot or frezzing cold. Garbage was never removed and at one point when we came back to our room, the staff used our bathroom and CLOGGED it and we were told we had to fix the problem ourselves. Carpeting is filthy, just walking around the room in our socks, the bottom of our feet were completely black. Internet does not work what so ever and they all were aware of it. They allow people to smoke through out the motel even tho it's a non smoking motel. At least that is what they advertise. When you complain about all this they act like your wasting there time and severely inconviencing them. Weird thing is there were always 2-3 people in line each and every day complaining. STAY AWAY and don't make the same mistake we did. NOT WORTH IT, pay an extra dollar or two and actually be appreciated. I actually over heard the manager insult the customer because the customer told them they were unprofessional.

ish I knew that you could of entered photo's because I will of blown your minds with the one's I could of taken!!!!

“Not The Waldorf, but for the money, certainly adequate.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2010

Our initial impression of the room was that it was quite small, but we didn't go on vacation for the Motel,so it was fine for what we needed it for-a Bed,Bathroom and TV. The bed itself did, admittedly, seem abit small for being advertised as a Queen size, but it was good enough to sleep in,so it was okey. More importantly, it was Clean. I can put up with a no-frills room,no problem, but it Has to be clean. We never did see all the reported filth, bugs and dirt the other reviewers complained about,so take it for what it's worth. And,Yes-as other reviewers have noted,it is,indeed, located right next to a very large truck stop, but this actually turns to your advantage,as the Restaurant(The Iron Skillet)in the truck stop is quite excellent and reasonably priced! And, we have to admit, that although there are trucks coming and going around the clock next door, unless you open the Window and turn off the Air conditioning, there really was hardly any noticeable noise we could tell at all. If the walls were as Thin as others reported,We certainly couldn't tell, but about the only "noise" we ran into was the occasional loud talking other guest walking down the hallway once in a great while, but you find this just about anywhere you go,so what can we say? The main complaint,if you can call it such, that we had,was that the bathroom facilities needed abit of tuning up. The toilet had a tendency to run at times, but if you jiggled the handle,it generally took care of it. No big deal. The shower knob dripped water continuously, but as we weren't paying the water bill or sleeping in the bathtub,we really didn't pay it any further attention.
Our room cost us $51 bucks a night-about half or so less than the other nearby hotels in the area, and we stayed there for 3 nights. Bottom line is,if you're looking for luxury and pampering from the Motel, then this place probably isn't for you. If,on the other hand, you're on vacation and planning to spend alot of hard earned cash at your destination and don't want to pour it into a place to sleep in,then this place is just fine. It's in a great centrally located spot with a heck of a good restaurant right next door and even a gas station to fill up at. Sleep there-wash up there-and then go spend the money in your pocket at your destination and have a good time.

“Below Average”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2010

While the main room was okay...but cramped once you added luggage into the mix, the bathroom was awful. The curtain rod was either broken or not installed correctly and was hanging down, so neither the front or the back were against the wall, which, of course, meant water on the floor. The curtain rod was actually breaking some of the tile off the wall. There was mold around the tub fixtures and in the corners and on the floor near the tub. The exhaust vent that came on whenever you turned the light on was incredibly noisy and the heat lamp had burn marks on the outside of it. The outlet that should have had the clock and lamp lugged into it was loose, I found this out because I had to plug the items in. The housekeeping staff said our room was ready, but when we got in there, there were no towels, and the bar of soap had been left from the previous occupant. The plumbing was backwards, meaning left was cold and right was hot, which with young children could have posed a bit of a threat. I have attached photos of the state of the bathroom. I will be forwarding them on to Days Inn Corporate so they can see what kind of shape Room 110 is in, in hpes they will do something. You are next door to a large truck stop, so it can be noisy at times and the walls and ceiling were a bit thin.
