We stayed at the Marriott on January 21, 2012. I booked the reservation through hotels.com and paid in full a week before. When I made the reservation, I stated two adults and three children. We arrived and right away, they wanted my credit card for incidentals. I guess I can understand this but they ended up putting a hold on our card for almost 5 days. Not cool at all. Then when we entered our room after a long day, we only had one bed. I called down and they had a room with two and we waited 15 minutes in the hall for someone to get us our new keys to a room on the next floor. I was expecting two beds and maybe a love seat since I stated five people (max per room) but we did not get that and one of my boys had to sleep on the floor. The room overall was ok, nothing special. I took two of my kids to the pool area and it was packed with kids. Not a big deal since that is what it is for, to swim and have fun. I finally grabbed a chair that didn't have clothing or someone lounging on it and sat by the wall looking at the pool watching my kids. It got to be out of control with kids tossing wet soaking balls and almost pelting me every couple of minutes. The parents or lack of them, didn't care at all. I yelled a few times to watch were they were throwing stuff. The final straw was getting soaked by a huge splash and almost hit in the face by yet again the ball. I would recommend not swimming in the pool on the weekends at this hotel.

Paid 59 total on priceline. Bar drinks expensive. Friendly staff. 2 doubles, would have preferred 2 queens. Would stay again!

As a guy who spends six months out of the year in hotels, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Marriott Milwaukee West. Set in the heart of a business area, the hotel was right off the Interstate, so there was easy access to all areas, without the congestion of being in Milwaukee. I found the room to be spacious (I had a Suite) and very comfortable. The bed was excellent, and the rooms are very quiet. This property is very conducive to a restful stay. The staff at this hotel were the friendliest I've found, but this seems to be the case with every person I've met in Wisconsin. I had the opportunity to meet the General Manager, and from visiting with him for a while, it is obvious why the employees there are friendly, helpful, and go above and beyond to ensure a great stay. No matter if you are on business or pleasure, I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in the Milwaukee or surrounding area. Room service was excellent with quality food, and prompt service. The concierge lounge and staff were also great. They could however improve the breakfast selection in the concierge lounge. Overall, I was highly satisfied with my stay there. Great hotel!!!

I stayed here for a night in late September for a conference. I thought the hotel was quite nice. The bed was very comfortable with an assortment of pillows. The room was quiet- I didn't have to turn on the AC unit. I had a drink at the bar with some friends from the conference- everything went well. My breakfast was good, although I just ordered toast and bacon instead of the buffet they offered. The checkout service went smoothly and they had added on my morning breakfast charge when I checked out. The staff I interacted with were friendly and efficient. All in all, this is what we all expect for a relatively expensive hotel.
