Cable cut in and out. Room with two queens was plain. Finding that I'm not a fan of the 'revised' Courtyard common areas. Location very close to business meeting and right of major highways.

This was our 2nd time staying at this Courtyard. We were in town from Chicago on 12/29 to go to a Marquette basketball game. The location is great for doing things downtown. We were able to walk to dinner and the Bradley center with our 2 daughters (6 & 9 yrs) with no trouble. We got a great rate on the room, and being from Chicago we were amazed at being able to valet park our car for $18! Try that in Chicago!!!! The room was basic - and needed a bit of TLC....the walls were a bit damaged - it looked like maybe a light switch had been removed and not repaired properly?

The desk staff and valet were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely return when we need to stay downtown.

Well for the $110 plus parking plus tax etc I expected ALOT more. I asked for more pillows and room higher up (meaning top floor). No extra pillows and we were put on the second floor (rm #215) which is right over where the people drive in to get to the front entrance.
Got hungry after we came back from a concert so we looked for a vending machine. There isnt any anymore. so down to the front desk we went to buy some food/drinks from their "store". Well $2.50 for a can of soda, $10 for a salad.........meaning they are NUTS!
Bed was a King size memory foam deal. It absolutely SUCKED. showered in the morning and water pressure was something to be desired.
On the good side. Pool was nice, hot tub was nice (not hot enough), front desk person was very nice and it was a very clean and quiet hotel.
I would def not stay there again unless I 100% HAD TOO.

We stayed for two nights over the recent holiday weekend. I chose this hotel for a previous stay and this time because it looked to be the best value for the money in downtown Milwaukee. The things I liked about the hotel were
* a big clean pool and jacuzzi for the kids;
* a restaurant with a somewhat limited menu adjacent to the lobby;
* a lovely renovation of the lobby area, including televisions, newspapers, and a nice selection of books about Wisconsin.
* kind, happy, helpful staff who went beyond the minimum--small kindnesses, but so nice--for example, for the valet parking attendant offered to bring a luggage cart from the lobby,
* clean, large room with two beds AND a sofa bed, so that everybody had their own bed.

I had only a couple of minor complaints: (1) There was no way to modulate the lights in the room. Although some lights had three-way switches, all the light-bulbs were high wattage. (2) There was no way to tell the staff not to change our sheets between the two nights of our stay. (3) The linens left in the room to make up the sofa bed were inadequate--one sheet, one blanket, no pillow.
